Soliloquies always
Spoken into thin air
So, listen carefully
Some lessons are waiting
Suspended there for us
Shakespeare audiences
Sometimes were mesmerized

Premium Member A Skill
No need for satin sheet soliloquies,
I want you uninhibited and raw;
Pull my hair lose all the sweet nothings,
with feather soft lace I will outdraw;
Intoxication I won’t tire,
trap me do whatever you will;
Fill me with such sure desire,
staying hardcore is a skill....

One
Serenaded silence
Under blushing sun
Swinging hands holding
Flowering love
Fledgling fingers
Jousting to arrhythmic beats
Summer soliloquies
Too shy to fluently speak
Sweet somethings
Whispered in ticklish ears
Swirling sentiments
Searching to endear
Grown-up glances
Alternating until one
Longing lips converging
Under blushing sun...

coagulation
the words coagulate, stuck
in the back of my throat, I choke
on the words I cannot seem to
acknowledge, articulate, remember.
aphasia commandeers my body as her vessel
inarticulate and mute
and in so much pain
but she doesn't seem to care.
when it matters all the soliloquies falter
and stumble from my lips, lame
and inadequate
like everything else i touch....

My Classmates
Like Hamlet's soliloquies
I now ponder on death
The Shakesperean to be or not to be
And now I ponder on my classmates,
Those who have died these past few years.

When you reach 70, everything after
Are bonus years,
And many of my classmates
Are going one by one.

No more dialogues.
Only monologues remain.
Monologues of death.
Monologues of the hereafter....

A Curiosity
within this shell
I voyage alone
to finally experience
thought with clarity.

Such soliloquies
fill me with vigor
secure in knowing
I belong apart.

Blessed silence
radiates like a promise
assuring somber peace
outside all spheres

in lone orbit
beholden to nil
without agendas
tipping my pitch.

Your bombardment
of murky disdain
shall hinder me
nevermore....

Sincere Beauty
She stands there with a
perpetual magnitude,
Vibrant as an orchid; tranquil
like a summer breeze.
With a gracious smile she
opened heaven gates.
My heart pounds with anxiety
as I gazed into her eyes.
Immensely captivating like dark
hooks for the soul.
Absorbed by her beauty, my
mind ponders in soliloquies.
Her iris blooms sincerity
I see my future in an instant
Tethered to faith, we become
one in the eyes of our God....

Splashed Smiles Learning
Saving a memory
because laughter splatters
across the room
rolling, clinking,
splashed smiles savored
like wine-mellow
with bursts of flavors
rolled along the tongue

Learning takes place
better when there is
laughter and smiles
invite learners

Giggles, gurgling
eyes and teeth participating
who what questions
answers accents, soliloquies, duets
trios and groupwork

Sets of co-operative
silly making
blessing the room
where we learn...

Revved Up
It was getting dark.
The insane curve of greed was rising.
I would not draw the boundaries
between the words.

The finch was immersed
in soliloquies and light was waiting
inside the seeds.

I open my eyes
and yell at the clouds in hyperboles
becoming stranger to myself.

Who belongs here
in slit eyes ? Each flower was leaving
a blemish, for the winter.

Tell me,
who you are in the twist of reality.
A proverb is going to be taken away.

Interna Inferno
internal inferno
my pupils circumscribe
fonts of futility
while opportunity leaks
between my fingers
weak, bent
crippled for the moment
by cruel serendipity
it is said
“better off dead”
but the dead unheard
leave unfinished soliloquies
between dates
etched in stone
filled with momentary eternities
while i limp along
past the parade of their
final serenity
the crescendo
of wind
stirring up memory
fueling this
internal inferno
and another step
towards possibility...

Premium Member Quote Wars Lost
A word in phrase has laid him low

From Milton, Keats, and Longfellow

He tried alas to make a stand

Upon this shore, a foreign land

He fired back a thousand quotes

With soliloquies and antidotes

But the fight had wore him thin

Becoming clear he could not win

And as he laid his body down

Among dead words all scattered round

His eyes then, skyward looked

As he clutch His precious book.

And the Saints who saw his smile

Sent to retrive him, Oscar Wilde...
