SOCKS

Satisfied as a pair,
Oft caught cuddling.
Close knit.
Knotted together as one in marriage —
Symmetry of opposites.

I take my shoes off

and roam only in my socks.

                                   All my socks have holes.

Son's Socks

Shaped like balls under the couch
Piled high behind the nightstand
Son’s socks find a home elsewhere
Just not in closets

Socks 2

Sucked into the vacuum
Outside the realm of bliss
Closeted in claustrobic tears
Knit stitch dropped, ladder falls
Solitary socks seek new pairing

Socks Sidestep

socks sidestep to the sock dimension,
in order to get away,
they tire of carrying our suspension,
don't like the smell they say,
who cares for the undersock:) hey.....Don Johnson

Premium Member watch out for the rinse cycle

his mate was lost during the rinse cycle
he got tossed into the unmatched basket
ten other socks gave him similar stories
none of their mates were ever found
they were tossed away as a result

Premium Member flower faerie with striped socks

flower faerie with the striped socks is fine
We watched her bless our garden all down the line
The tulips loved her as did the daisies and the tiger lily.
Frankly said Marigold, her socks look rather silly.

Odd Socks

Why do socks seem to disappear?
 I can’t find a matching pair!
Not wanting to develop a syndrome
When anyone comments on my odd flair,
I retort with apparent savoir faire:
Yes I’ve another pair jus’ like’em at ‘ome!

Socrates Stole My Socks!

Now I know how he got his name....
He can put an electric dryer to shame!
Dryers eats socks,
Socrates does pilfer....
I wonder what happens,
If I send him a bill 'fer
All my missing socks....
Would he sock me one?

Laundry: Where Do Socks Go

Where do socks go
When the washer stops?
Where do they go
When the washer stops?
Through the laundry mist
They escape
One goes astray
And another lays motionless
In the laundry basket
Where do socks go
When the washer stop?

Pyjamas Instead

The day you begin to feel the cold,
Is the day you are starting to get old.

I couldn't bear anything on my feet,
But now I wear socks in bed and cover them with a sheet.

I always went naked to bed,
But now I wear pajamas instead.

Socks:Revised

Left sock, Right sock where have you gone,
little skooter kitty, up before the dawn,

Now my day has started,
my socks have all but parted,

little skooter took em'
to make his bed upon.

Skinned Knees and Darned Socks

Skinned knees and darned socks
Hand me down clothes the lot
Playtime under the sun
Backyard cricket when the day is done

No need to be the best
Just join in with the rest
Go to bed dog tired
60s Summer time as we desired.
