Music to my ears - dodo
     Jiving and jazz, razzmatazz.
     Jitterbug then rock and roll.
     Smooching while eighty years old.
     Both tickety- boo....

The was once a guy named Bill
Who liked smooching on a hill
     One day he met Callie
     From the state of Calie
Who gave old Bill such a thrill

* Calie short for California

Romantic Senryu
neighborhood children
laughing play hide-and-go-seek—
he steals his first kiss

a teenaged couple
smooching beneath the bleachers—
flashlights and sirens

a husband and wife
smiling on Valentine’s Day—
a pink negligee

I Met My Sweetheart By the Moonlight
I met my sweetheart
by the moonlight
which made me love
him more when I reached
to kiss his cute lips but
missed instead smooching
his moustache as his eyes
opened wide as if a
watered flower in a pot,
causing my dreams to wake
up laughing so loudly
that people on the street
heard my hearty laughter,
resulting in a rolling tsunami
upon the near shore

Kissing Lips
Embrace with a peck on my cheek and neck- kiss softly in the dark, ignite a passionate spark; "pull me closer, love - closer… even closer…" (his lips brush mine) we touch and entwine with fervor he kisses my lips - to my my nape and fingertips igniting embers of passion’s fire; smooching with utmost desire

Summer Rispetto
Its summertime, yea, it's party, raving time! Always say no to drugs, evict the dealers! Get off my head on rock, hip-hop, jazz, all fine! Tumble, a rumble, oh, just a few reelers. A shout out, a Mexican wave, say your mine! Come, let's move our bodies, crazy teenagers! Dusk, a cool zephyr, light now low, smooching slow. Someone hits the volume, trance, I start to glow!

Secret Service
Obama walked the aisle
Shaking hands and smooching cheeks,
The camera giving all of us
Some voyeuristic peeks.

One couldn’t help but notice, though,
The Secret Service men,
Whose faces filled the screen not once,
But over and again.

Somebody should have warned them
They were stealing all the thunder;
When they went home and saw themselves,
What did they think? I wonder.

Yet even more perplexing is,
Perhaps this question’s dumb,
But who exactly was Obama
Being shielded from?...
