J'Accuse
Barbed volleys
Wound my heart.
Sieved and torn,
Crippled beyond repair.

I crawl,
Seeking condonation,
For what I know not,
Content with scars.

Would that they disappear
Without trace,
To start afresh;
But barbs suppurate!...

There was a top chef called McRoth
Who made a delicious fish broth,
And to please Mrs Jones
Who had phobia of bones
He sieved it through layers of cloth!

Deceit
How many have you deceived?
With selected words sieved,
Tongue twisting and itching
Bubbling and smiling
With hurting Lies
Like a serpent I wish dies

So full of sweetness
And bitterness,
Rotten Lies
And fresh truths,
A trap for the meek
And a cell for the weak
Eyes boiling with deceit,
It’s you ache to forfeit...

High Country
The tang of crowberries and storm clouds
sieved through wind and limestone
sheep’s piss and heather.
Beneath the high rock, ravens spiral,
swoop through a flying sky.
This is my land, this moment
I declare myself the very image of the One image,
magnified, upright, somewhere between
a wind-blown gnat and the rocketing reach
of a reckless God....

Several sirens singing on the shore
Called Calypso’s crew for them to adore.
Willing witless wanderers;
Oblivious obeyers,
Which waves washed through a rocky tidal bore.

Svelte sisters sieved the sailor’s gore
That the salty surging sea cast ashore.
Boiling briny blunderers
With olive oil and oysters
And feasting until they could eat no more....

LIGHT and SHADOW

           Smooth and coarse green leaves
                  in thick and thin foliage
                 show light and shadow
sieved by pale or bright sunshine
as Sun moves from East to West.

Broken Sky
The air seems broken today
low and high clouds shred and fracture.

Breathing has to be sieved
through a fine mesh of mindfulness
and bellows worked
by the laboring hands of thought.

The cracked face of the sky
will be blood red by the night
until then

we sip the honey out of the dross,
last-out these daylight doldrums,
wait for a free-sailing,
and vagabond wind....

Gullible Phrases Gulped
hoisted hanker trips
cranky cause clipped
soapy sauce seeped'n
in taunted tease
smoldered spiritualism scribbled
on dark dwindles

gaunt gifts sieved
sumptuous seal retrieved
haughty hoists spilled

bounty beards blushed
surmounting syllabic touch
gullible phrases gulped

porous pen puked
drenching vying view.

Clean like a glass
Dirty like a smeared rag
Dark like a sponge soaked in black
Shining like a powerful lamp
Sieved by branches, broken like a cracked glass
Busy like a swarm of swallow flying across
Naughty like the burning sun's heat
Cunning like a sudden heavy downpour
But the sky is my love
When I am free from work
The sky is everyone's friend
If you stop polluting it with dirt...

One Note
One Note

A single, little note
Small, yet elegant
And is nothing to denote
As that would show you arrogant
A little cumbersome
But is very needed
And it may also become
The one that is seceded
Instead of losing others
 But is caught by them
And it shows that it bothers
Those with shining gems
And since it is now will received
You hear the sand in the hourglass sieved

Stand
High on a blustery jut
he flouts his fear upon a buoyant swell.
Breathes in the tang
of crowberries and storm clouds
aroma’s sieved through wind and limestone,
sheep piss and heather.
Way down on a lower sky
rock ravens spiral.
This is his land, his free blown air.
There he declares himself
the very image of this scudding world;
and he magnified and upright,
somewhere between
a twirling gnat
and a new begot God.

Word Fortoday: Fit
WORD FOR TODAY: FIT

Previously unrecognized recruitment errors are now taking a HIT
They huffed and puffed but lacked the passion and required GRIT
Firms now realize that while talent is good; the cap must also FIT
Recruits that don’t fit the team might eventually drag it into a PIT
Patience is required to nurture new hires; initiate them bit by BIT
The bad ones will be sieved away but the good ones wear the KIT

Moor Stand
Back and forth on the blustery jut I rock my brain in its buoyant swell. The tang of crowberries and storm clouds sieved through wind and limestone, sheep’s piss and heather. Beneath the high rock, rock ravens spiral, peregrine swoop within a flying sky turned upside down. This is my land, this moment I declare myself the very image of this twirling world, magnified, upright, somewhere between a wind-blown gnat and God.

Deprived of sleep
the mind revolves
in a slowly turning gyre
of thoughts,
capturing the past
and future
in its spiral
to feed its want
and taunt the will.
Dawn becomes
a cruel mirage dancing
on a distant horizon.

An exhausted self
is sieved through the gauze
of a semi conscious dream
as it masquerades as sleep,
sending bits to float off
across the room
until a sudden noise
or a sharp pain
brings the mind back
into the wide awake
prison of itself…..again.
