I was knighted by the queen, I think
When I gate crashed the ball wearing pink
She said “goodnight I say”
“Guards take him away”
Due to the over indulgence of drink
Sidney Poitier, was good at his trade,
with stellar acting skills above the grade.
Made history in 64; when he actually won,
His exceptional gift was second to none.
