My Brother

Fighting
Arguing
Simple sibling fights
But bonded together
We are like one
Best friends
Never could ask for a better one
By this I mean my brother

My Sibling In Dublin

I have a sibling somewhere in Dublin
When I miss her I jump in a wheelie bin
And pen her a limerick
Just to make her smirk
If she don't like my head will spin

Frederick Sandys a pre-raphaelite
brothe to Emma portraitist of delight
Then sibling art togetherness did bring
lost & remote now as digital apps are 'the' thing

Muckyard Sibling

At some mutual point
during the lengthy course of their familial lives,
Sonny and his older brother
must have gazed upon themselves as equals in each other’s eyes.

Sibling Sanity

There once was a sister most prosaic
Who's love for her kin was most archaic
  She turned a blind eye
  To horrible lie after lie
And ignored her sibling's mind of mosaic

Premium Member Letter From My Sibling

Won't write the entirety of my sibling's heartfelt letter,
But those lovingly sweet lines made me feel so much better,
Happier knowing I always helped them when under the weather.

Brother Sister

You're silence reminds me of the voices of the unborn. Loving yet unloved.

My Brother

Somebody I could count on
Interested in architecture
Best at making mashed potatoes
Loved by his family
Immersed in reading mysteries
No matter what was said we made up
Greatly missed

Fear Not My Young Sibling

Young one, I will guide you as best as I can
But you can't always be stuck holding my hand

Young one, the world is yours just don't be afraid
When your world seems to darken, that is me casting you shade

Sweet flux of stream ripples
stone amulets graze mohs
scale of gold rush hardness

Contrite

I lied about
where we went.
I lied about
what we did.

It was
good bonding.
The cops ruined
our sibling spree.

I am sorry.
You weren’t
supposed to find out.
We didn’t know what was in store.

Ode To Shadow

You are the sibling of Darkness
Only representing all friendliness
but you're mistaken too much
You surround me with a clutch
You hide from liberation
But you somehow form your recreation
You extinguish my fear
and make things very, very clear.

Premium Member Panda

I want to be the panda protected
nothing to fear the last of my breed
I eat my heart content the bamboo leaves
of the forest preserved for me and my sibling
no agenda gave me a few more years to disappear
and stay a porcelain in your boudoir.

Child Within

Child
Within.
Transparent
Tragic colors
Secret emotions
Ears hear too much to bear
A household war day and night
Sibling can escape all the fright
Enduring more, validation null
What happens to the adult-child within?

Premium Member Siblings

To measure how much love one sibling has for another If one threatens to jump off a bridge, the other runs to tell mother That pretty well sums it up Specially if it involves a nudge Some families are just a wee bit different from others
