observing hesitancy
camouflaged with a smile
the onus shifts to us

I watch them as the conversation shifts, chattering chameleons, changing the shades of interpretation to suit their "narrative".
Air blows, water flows,
mist shifts, cloud lifts,
it appears and disappears,
now here, then there.

Trump's Security Clearance is void
And a Florida judge is annoyed
She wanted to see
How Trump's latest plea
Shifts the blame to an FBI droid
once we see
who we are
life view shifts
all are one
one is all

every realm

i like the way

It shifts by edge of the sea
Bringing light unknown to me
A lighthouse beams so brightly
Having eyes of gold

River dancers on the shingles
Attenuating rhythmic shifts

Power shifts from points
Capital demands profit
We are just puppets
Nature revolts through tremors
Towering greeds - shatter down

vibrational shifts creates soul’s music
through senses pervading organic form
magnetic heat peaks, heart is delighted
our presence remains centred in the storm
"Shifts.."
In perception
Seem to happen
Unpredictably
Immediately as
Nothing appears..
Astoundingly
Without instruction
Without fanfare...
As nurses hurry to their shifts
and a lady in a wheelchair waits at curbside,
we sit together among blossoming trees
in this spot of sun
between hospital and home.
The droop of purple foxgloves lift.
The uptick of balm a gift.
The shape of eyes suddenly shifts
On the brooding workplace clock.

a digit shifts
conjuring hope
sans our resolve
so we raise a toast
to the powers that be
without any clarity
on what we seek
for we know not
who we are

A poetess once told me,
"Power shifts balance all the time
Empires crumble
Wealth and greatness shades too.
The only prosperity you can bed forever is love."
So i married her.

Flutters
Agitates
For expansion
Lunging at illusions ephemeral
Eternal not found in the external
Search shifts within
Tranquil calm

Gone as quickly as you come,
things change with time and distance.
Slow chaotic confusion,
shifts in our atmosphere.
It will be awhile before I see you again
after tonight…
It always is.
They come
These thoughts
Ride the pillows of a dream
Torture
The befuddled muse
Drift
In a silent darkness
Dampen
The pillow
With muttered
Apologies.

The sky shifts slow,
heavy with unspoken storms.
Breaths come shallow—
a tightrope walk on frayed threads.
Yet inside, a quiet fire glows,
rising through the cracks,
refusing to be snuffed.

Tranquil eye in need of a makeover,
shifts baton of awareness to the heart,
enabling zest and zeal to takeover,
whereupon we feel bliss ignition start,
that engaged in life, soul rests in clover.
