Sequence-Symbol Signs

Daisy
and nettle,
poppy petal,
willow weeds..symbol
life's deeds-
pain and
innocence,
forsaken love-
tragedy lies beneath
death's sheaf

walrus tusks

Walrus tusks are longer than I thought
Length of a yardstick, new and store bought
Females' tusks are much longer; they serve as teeth
Sharper than a copper dagger in a leather sheaf

Thief

... I saw the wind
pull a sheaf of yellow leaves from the cool-burning sky,
throwing them across a fence,
and I suddenly realized that
the glory of an autumn afternoon
had been stolen and fenced,
yet returned in priceless gold...
... what a thief, the glorious wind!...

Pages

Pages

My book is but an
empty sheaf of pages
unwritten upon
by any hand but my own

Not one jot - not one slip
of the eternal pen
blemishes those glaring	spaces

Must my worth be counted
in the coin of whatever realm
others choose for me

I think not
Let me write my own
words upon my pages

My pen will spell out
the essence blind eyes
do not see

Extirpated Idolatry

Lithospherical clunking, zest of our navel

Tumultuous melt, fizz ridden obliquitous

Inestimably stemming, trunking, branching

Exaspergrasping for equichosis, ecliptic apotheosis

We shimmer and charade as though dwelt in strobe

Inscribing the vitroglyph, micro slinks to macro

Then back again

I sit lotus, perfecting the interlocking polygonoids of this scape

I resonate and learn over a new sheaf

A Palm Map.

Transformation

Overpowered by the vicissitudes of life, The soul can be broken down and beaten Like a sheaf of wheat at the threshing, Where the chaff is tossed to the winds. The good salvaged like grains of wheat, Leavened and turned into sustenance, Feeds a temporal home for a whole being Who wanders through the fallow fields, After the harvest and longs for eternity.

God, Give Me An Eraser

God gave me a sheaf of blank pages
And a pencil in my hand of destiny
When I came in the world He made
To write the story of my life I make.
After a long journey truly recorded
My mind now turns the faded pages
I have filled writing over the years
Agrees with the people who say
I failed life or life me
Which one is true
I don’t know.

God, give me an eraser
I shall erase the story I wrote
And compose my life once again.

Awake From Slumber

AWAKE FROM SLUMBER Awake from slumber, Rip’s somber number* Samples of sweet sunshine and robin’s song Duo of dawn’s serendipitous Spring Touch my skin with mirth Witch-hazel sun of earth Sweet foliage of harmony, the scented Honeysuckle, pretty petals of rose Moss glows with newfound light Cerulean sheaf takes flight 3/19/2017
*For it feels like Winter never ends Rip Van Winkle slept for 20 years

The Last Page

My notebook’s out of pages;
I’m writing on the last.
The time it takes to fill one
Seems to zip by rather fast.

My finished books are in a pile
Replete with all my rhymes,
Reflecting how I felt about
The topics of the times.

I carry ‘round a smaller version
When I’m not at home
So I can always have a place
To jot my daily poem.

Tomorrow I’ll inaugurate
A brand new sheaf of leaves,
Which soon will hold the latest thoughts
My racing mind conceives.

Lovely Lady Jan

Sweet lady, combination of silliness and laughter, all wrapped up in one sweet sheaf. Amusing limericks, she is definitely a master, so talented, watching in disbelief. Dulcet stories about her special mum, I hold gratitude for her beneficial feedback. So much love held for her darling son, convinced positive energy she'll always attract. ~Written By: Laura Loo~ ~Date Written: February 24, 2016~ Written for a lovely lady...Jan...

The Gifted Garden

Uncurl, uncurl the fragrant leaf
the flag of Spring, joyous relief.
Let watercolor flowers rise,
let winter’s white be exorcised.
Waylay your woes, leave off your grief.

Tulips and pansies fill our sheaf.
Abundance eases disbelief.
Lift your eyes toward His blue skies
Uncurl, uncurl

Hear His robin’s merry motif
enjoy the scents, for life is brief.
Drink it all in, don’t compromise.
Yes, we are in God’s paradise,
give praise, live in this right belief
Uncurl, uncurl

Silent Partner

Loneliness is lost ------
to see or touch the swing of the paddy
sheaf in the green paddy field at noon,
Or,
when the rain and the sun meet,
the rainbow is visible from the balcony ;
Or
when sitting in front of the window
the fallen story seems alive .

Loneliness is lost ------
In the afternoon see the dynamic view
of the dried leaves on the pond ,
Or,
when the twinkling lights of the stars
light up in the darkness of night ,

Because they are all your silent partner.
