grabbing my white purse
heading out to my white car
driving to work in between the white lines

A pain in the other

We stare at each other
There's no coming back
The day is now done

oh, my, this was the nurse with the beautiful blonde hair
It is awful now, dyed in four colors
faded pink, bland purple, washed out green, gray yellow

shoes, and there are a million shoes
coming in and out
the revolving doors.

into busy back-up binds
that throw up into
reality.
Plasters of plastic white-on-white
skin. With small detailed letterings
of a label, a label, and
numbers... with a finger that
beckons you to,
"Follow Me."
