Hi John, wonderful reminder to remember those who serve us at this time and every day. And, yes, they are angels in "scrubs, gloves and masks." I completely agree! Nicely penned.

I so agree John. They are literally risking their lives and the lives of their families. My daughter is a nurse but is on maternity leave with her preemie right now or I would be worried sick. A beautiful tribute for our heroes! xxoo

John, four of our six children are on the front lines as health care workers and/or first responders, two nurses (one in ER, another in cardiac ICU), a clinician who does group and individual therapy in a women's rehab facility and a correction officer, and especially now, I worry so much. Your beautiful Tanka honors all health care workers in such an uplifting way. Indeed, they go above and beyond and are truly heroes. A wonderful piece, my friend. Warmest wishes always.. ~Susan

I have many family members in this field... they do put themselves in harms way and now have a hard time getting the supplies they need... good write! hugs

Thank you Andrea for your thoughtful words about my first Tanka. I read the PS paragraph about tankas and was relieved that "gratitude" is a very appropriate topic for this form!
