Scrabble

My word would be Latrine;
My choice from those I’ve seen!

(I looked at a crossword dictionary and liked this word!)

Throw Out the Words

Throw out the words
Like toss of dice
A scrabble game
You shuffle twice
Ink spots appear
To your delight
You now make sense
Of this.

Premium Member I'm an expert word inventor

Why does English have so many words
that have two or more meanings attached

There's many unused letter combos
(which my "invalid" Scrabble words hatched!)

Come On and Play

I have these two hot blondes in my bed -
one at the foot and one at the head,
I'm not sure what to do,
I'll have to think this through...
Scrabble? No joking? I've been misled!

Premium Member Like the Letters of Scrabble

Social media rants and raves
a lot like the letters of Scrabble
The end result, rather the same
~ scattered like those who built Babble*

bare limbs reach skyward against cloud dappled ceiling as evening quiet descends its spreading branches speak of hard scrabble farmers and their long lost hopes and dreams

Swear Word Scrabble

Great fun games for the English summer
They don’t have to be expensive
Play new swear word Scrabble
It’s a simple game not for the pensive
All words must be in common usage
And should be genuinely offensive

As a vegetarian, you'll be safe from beef cattle Rather than attack, they'll ask for a game of Scrabble Charming as that is Don't trust their antics They'll moo you till you tear up then chop on your ankles

Scrabble

I have no doubt that you’re a wordologist
and that you place them well
I believe in neologism
and with it I excel
but luck is in the draw
and the tiles that you pick
how many used at once
it is all in your Scrabble skill

Premium Member Home, Home of the Brains - Lyric

~ To the Melody of "Home on the Range" ~

       Home, Home of the Brains
       Where Scrabble is endlessly played
          Where seldom is heard
          A monosyllabic word
And American English is forbidden, btw

Premium Member scrabble is my game of choice

scrabble is my game of choice
carrace, lamesbe and myjoyce
seven letters I make into a word
the time I spend on this is so absurd

two to six hours a day
I make words in a clever way
scrabble forever appeals to me
putting words together, my happy glee
Form: Rhyme

Quasher

You think you can win against me?
You’ve got to be kidding -
I’m the Scrabble Playing Queen!

Oh, you have something to prove?
Then go ahead; I urge you to -
But don’t get mad when I out-word you!

When you play fifty or sixty
scrabble games day
you get incessant beeps
on your cell phone

day and night,
weekends, and week days.
It is a comfort

not able to sleep either.
I love this!

All along my merry way i have collected so very many

N's

Instead of saving them for a game of Scrabble

Soliloquy On Chess

Another game - another struggle
mind against mind
    Battle on chess players!
The multitude in the U.S..
Doesn't care about chess at all
But a small minority of us
   Consider the game essential
Let them play their Scrabble and Go
We'll set up the pieces
   and start the
next battle.....

Sounds Squirm Up

Rain-steps publish worms, wriggles scribe themselves. The thrown thud of a newspaper punctuates the wet and written. Sparrows scrawl and scrabble, foraging starlings attack the earth sounds squirm up, muddy scripts are picked at, edited a door slams, the ground rewrites itself.

Ex-Electric - or Eccentric

Gadgets have twiddle-rings and grabbit-bars,
press-its, turn-its, handles, and plugs.

Blackouts have candles, torches, Scrabble, cards,
Too dark for darts,
Watch your hair - it nearly caught fire,
Waxy bits on the table,
And dried mashed potato on the plates
where the washer-upper didn’t see it.
