Each Christmas scene see
Baby Jesus in small barn
God has blessed us with.

Is walking across a bridge,
Without a worry.
His destination
Is in the back of his mind,
Just waiting for him.
Afro Samauri
Stares at the fearless ninjas,
Without a motion.
He is unafraid,
Though the ninjas are hissing
At him in anger.
I look at a completely still landscape
The trees, bushes, lawn and path
Seem covered in whitewash
For Rick’s Winter kimo contest
i dreamt that i
was dreaming
seeing myself
sleeping but
you were
beside
me
that's
how i
knew
it was
just a
dream
Form:
my kids once called me
the walking problem solver

Ready to end this charade,
Leaps into action.
He brings his sword down,
Slicing him into pieces.
The perfect divide.

Four ninjas remain,
Eager to murder Afro,
Who is unafraid.
Three attack this time,
As Afro jumps in the air,
Detatching their heads.

To the line of poplar trees
By the parking lot
Two young lovers, hand in hand,
Discussing their weekend plans.
Then, without warning,
They charge Afro Samauri
In murderous pairs.
When one takes a swing,
He quickly moves to the side,
Without emotion.
On his left and right,
The first two ninjas attack,
Intending to kill.
Afro takes a swing,
And the head of one ninja
Comes completely off.
He tried to put on a scene
Because the wig he wore was lime green
He sashayed about
Like a boastful peacock
He's now a high paid drag queen
DOMESTIC SCENE
by the alley

The other attacks!
Afro takes another swing,
While moving backwards.
Two limbs are severed.
The ninja falls to his death,
In a pool of blood.
Then, out of nowhere,
About six ninjas spring up,
From under the bridge.
They have their swords drawn,
Ready and willing to kill
Afro Samauri
Only one remains,
Still committed to the cause
That had brought him there.
Therefore, the ninja
Stands before the Samauri
And a certain death.

eyes feline, darkness
pierce... cries, shrieks... hell's bedlam loosed...
earth's hair stands on end
Spring
sunburst
sky sparkles,
unfurled buds smear
petals with bright hues,
fragrant zephyr
resonates
song of
spring.
Near lonely lighthouse, a gull swoops down
to kiss the waves, then veer around
Back up skyward, pumping wings
~ gliding swiftly, homeward bound
