The first crescent moon
Following the setting sun
With Saturn above
In the clear December sky
I send a wish to a star
crowned queen of the gods
saturn and jupiter loom
large in her orbit
known for her protective role
mars bows to her motherly grace
Little Globe
Grow me a planet
I want a moon
Followed by a Saturn
Real ones but small
To fit inside my pocket
Got my own worlds
In my palm
Balloons fill with helium, soar in the sky
What strange gases burst politicians’ bellies
~ Perhaps Saturn will see them fly by
a pitch dark black sky
Jupiter Saturn close by
constellations glow

Rings of Saturn
glowing light from three years away;
Rings of Saturn,
they dance for every Capricorn;
Built tough for a wintery day,
grit a daunting cosmic display;
Rings of Saturn.
There once was a married cosmonaut
Who out in Space did what he shouldn't ought--
Kissed a pretty Mars bar
Made love to the North Star--
Sex with a slattern from Saturn he bought
Standing on the edge of Mars,
a quantum leap to
a little chit-chat with Saturn.
Spirit is universal
and not all friends
are mortal...
transcend your limits.
Always building cars,
Dodge enjoyed framing grand historical ideas.
Jaguar kept long models noble.
Overdrawn Pontiac quadrupled.
Rare Saturn tested unfair.
Victorious winner xeroxed yet zany.
Saturn burns,
as eight rings turn
Its truth on fire,
no lessons learned
A gas filled magnet,
for solar wind
Where ice and rock
—hide ancient sins
(Villanova Pennsylvania: July, 2016)
To the moon and back
was once a far-away goal
‘Course we already did that
fifty-plus years ago
How about Mars, Venus
Jupiter or Saturn
Why repeat what we’ve done
If there’s no glory to earn
The rocket launch recliner
propels her to the moon;
with Ativan for fuel,
she’ll be to Saturn soon.
When shortly she returns,
both feet upon the land,
and Benadryl departs,
I hope the trip was grand!
Bringer of Old Age
Saturn, that's what you always were
You move quite slowly
At a snail's pace
Twenty-nine point forty-six
Years, orbit the Sun
Named after a god
Within the Roman pantheon
Of farming and TIME
He is over the moon for me.
I am his asteroid, he is my shining star.
We are going to travel the cosmos.
Possibly landing on Saturn or Mars.
I knew she would burn up, but I kept quiet.
Not liking her all that much.
put a spell on me now
as I know it somehow
external forces
internal course
wish him deed
did your nurse said
mexican houses
hocus pocus
and the suit
like a quilt
Pattersun
snow Saturn?

Form:
Saturn will be dancing with the moon tonight,
The spectacular “Lord of the Rings” will be quite a sight.
Even seasoned stargazers will be transfixed and amazed,
Looking to the right of the moon, they will offer their praise.
Pained memory A hurt of kind
Inbedded deep This tapeworm of time
Like the distant rings of Saturn
Now on outer edges Once the centers core
Still lashed by length of reach
Peices from the heart
Fed-upon, forevermore
Form:
With the rays of the sun I'll make her crown
With the fabric of space I'll make her gown
With the rings of Saturn I'll make her throne
With the universe for her stage may her reign
last forever
Long live the queen.
Written by Keith Edward Baucum
Venus will not come,
Saturn often run.
Mars filled the earthen form,
Mercury; yet all burn.
Jupiter glows in pride,
Uranus take her on ride.
Earth alone made her stand,
Pluto spent her strand.
Neptune alone made a sigh,
As winter gave her cry.

If Saturn were a rainbow
Would we feel any differently
About looking through a telescope to see her?
I imagine she would be beautiful
With pinks, yellows, blues, and light greens.
I imagine it ….
And I want to look through a telescope now
For the very first time.
Sun looks smaller from there,
Arid and extremely windy.
Thick atmosphere, floats on water,
Unfathomable in our milky way.
Rings made of chunks of rock and ice,
No true surface, nowhere to stand.

Mr. Nutty,
you're m'buddy,
you never were a fuddy duddy.
There's a pattern,
you're from Saturn,
they shoulda made you the Green Lantern.
Zen Kabbalah,
Mr. Allah,
did you ever play in Walla Walla?
No one's nicer,
jezus cry sir!,
boogie woogie on a synthesizer!
Your eyes,
shine as;
Saturn moons;
Your soft voice,
resonates as a
babies "COO";
Lovely,
to first I must state,
That I love you at any sake;
Always!
that I love you...
for you are...
AHH!

We mourn the dead
But we transform from death
Death is part a cycle of life
Life and love are eternal
The Goddess Moon
The Father Saturn
The Aldebaran Star
Life is part a cycle of death
Mourning and separation are temporal
We celebrate life
Because we transform from death
The king of Saturn, it's said,
Has eyes in the back of his head
To add to the brunt,
He has none in the front
And so everywhere must be lead.
The king of Jupiter, too,
Has his head on, askew
He says hello
When he sees people go,
With only their backsides to view.
