Sometimes our goodness goes too far,
you know how does it smell,

that slices
my hope and self worth
into indistinguishable pieces of waste
lying around my feet.

or did you throw it at me?

Arrogance, sarcasm and suggestive wit,
Some people in this world I admit,
Think is so cool and fun,
But actually in the long run,
One day they go too far, and have to quit.
So where does freedom sleep in dirty shoes
spoiling the sheets and drooling on the pillow,
Procrustean bed that silly people choose
and breast of its I notice doesn't billow.
A competitive poet with ego galore
is always "one upping" to even some score.
They disguise their sarcasm in metaphors.
Most of the time I politely ignore as
no one needs a poetry war.
so you’re off to climb Mount Everest
but have no training…
my advice:
pack a lunch ~ good luck

Bitter silences
Biting your lip
A rage wanting to surface
Ready to erupt
Looks that judge harshly
Laced with sarcasm
Will leave no room
For explanation
Or forgiveness

Lies upon the breaths that are bated
