things get ruff

don't be a buff

BE TROOPER
I heard the thunder,
a sound from seventy-four,
Bringing the lightning,
With nowhere to run and hide,
Did you feel that purple storm?
Last Night
Sleep,
Oh elusive wisp of rest.
You run and hide your arms from me.
I chase, then fall and lie awake
'Til finally I rise
To face a tired day.
Head toward the light
Head toward the light
It's there you'll find
your true delight.
Head toward the light
Don't run and hide
It's in the light
that God resides
Floating above
Buried bellow
Forever free
Confined eternally
What is right
Why so wrong
Days are short
nights are long
Stay and fight
run and hide
The choice is yours
You decide
Life is a journey
A precious gift
Overflowing with mystery
Abounding in experiences
Full of lessons
Do we learn
That is up to us
Grasp the nettle
Or run and hide
We decide
You run and hide standing behind the walls of deception
Open up the windows and blinds of shuttered eyes open closed mystery demons visit Visions in my daydream~

I saw the huge beast from the dock.
The scene evoked bowel loosening shock.
Run and hide, Nessie!
It's about to get messy.

Sometime apple pies
Run and Hide
You don't want to be eaten
Peeled apples roll around
Once a seedling
In planted in the ground
Flour, cinnamon, nutmeg other ingredients...
Mixed and placed in the oven

- perhaps
dropped on earth
from heaven
- at birth
run and hide
- to bide
my time - here
- oh dear
- hopefully
- dear
- for a return ride
To run and hide is to despise yourself
To love your kin is to revive yourself
To sing is to allow your heart to live
To cry is to allow all forgiveness
To be strong you must be honest with all
To be yourself allows you to shine bright
When my mind is foggy I find it hard to see
The only clarity being doubt and inadequacy
It’s so much easier to run and hide
Than in others to confide
I wish it to be peaceful between my ears
Not just for now but for all my years
Through the manicured lawn hate crept eating
soil
It hid its face
the sun and moon soon spied the long shadow
by
watching the aphids
run and hide
This I took as divine right
and smothered hate within a killing jar

chestnut mares tumble
but you pay no attention
voiceless stanzas echo
time to run and hide
to the hills of your home
calmingly walking away
by the riverside
you scorn your chances
but it is only in magic
that you can pay attention
Is your courage abandoned
in the cold and lost
From a temporary crisis,
—an unplanned confrontation
Does it wait for reassurance
as you run and hide
From a seconds indecision,
—a momentary denial

You say you have high pride,
Why do you lie then run and hide,
Everything that you keep botteled up inside,
Where not one soul can see nor find,
Unless you release a peice or show a sign,
To whats going through your mind,
At this moment at this time.
Form:
Married to correctness,
divorced from the ideal
The truth becomes enigma,
veracity to steal
Facts bury in self interest,
the cheaters run and hide
All trysts a fated exercise
—philandering with lies
(Villanova Pennsylvania: September, 2016)
Sacred? Afraid?
Frightened like a little girl?
Then scream !!
Go run and hide from the world.
All is going the same
In this hell we inhabit
On this board of reality.
So run and hide
Cry and sob
As I run as well
Only chasing you
In your dreams
Secrets keep us sick
as emotions run and hide
Perception dark and thick
the truth turned into lies
Secrets keep us sick
with denial center stage
Time bartered, the moment gone
—nothing left but rage
(Villanova Pennsylvania: June, 2018)

(Death of a campfire)
Written: by Tom Wright
February 2015
The death of a campfire
Scurry little embers,
Run and hide.
You’re a vagabond of time,
Ready to expire;
Soon, as ashes,
You’ll forever abide.
Kids connection
Some kids like to work some kids like to play
All so fast not in a delay, some kids like to write
Some kids like to run and hide , all this a part to make ,
A future very bright. All at point come together
Different or alike should hate never
You sealed my fate
With a sweet little kiss
Now you want to run and hide
What am I to do
With just a memory
Should I lock it all inside
You opened my heart
And taken a bite
Now you want to throw it away
So leave me here bleeding
With you on my mind
Thats just the price Ill pay
BEFORE THE CALM SEAS--
standing before the calm seas
doves tabbing wing fly over me
cool summer breeze winds
shoreline waving in the sands
sunshine clouds run and hide
thoughts of why must this be
standing before the calm seas
