The Old Age
when I was young I could run a mile
now I watch the track with a smile
these legs are not like before
in fact they feel quite sore
folks say it's a stage
it's the last page
it is called
the old
age...

Sports Relief
Bounce, Scream, silence run
raise money for having fun
Sing hop sprint and shout
show Africa what we care about

Bounce for 6 hours or run a mile
make money to see children smile
sell cakes and dye your hair
let the world know we really care!...

Why
Why am I holding on to something that's gone.....
Why does my heart still aches for you...
Why does my sunshine rest in your smile
Why when I see you I feel like I can run a mile....
I get it I know....
I'm still in love...

Patience Patients
Take life for every minute it gives
Spend time like dust specks gathered
Free your mind off taunted shadowed thoughts
Clean the mind unfurl coiled negative energy

Walk equipoised trumping rooted darkness
Rejuvinate coarse emotions thrusting chuffs
Run a mile and count the escalations
Forgo the tumbles and stand chin up....

I Am Me, You Are You
Trying to make me over
to what you want me to be, you see I am me
You are you
just let it be.

I am a different type of individual
not in your mind
I have my own ideas
that soon will shine.

Not losing myself in your shadow
shall I not gather my own taste and style?
be for real
take a hike, or run a mile.

I am me....

The Scary Clown
Its big yellow eyes staring in a glare
while I huddle up to my mother in quite a scare

His big as can be lips gives me a smile
while I want to get up and want to run a mile

His ugly big tomato like nose
Is in my face as a sit there like I just froze

His orange hair that gives me a scare
While his big eyes giving me a glare
of fear....

Listen Up
Wipe you tears And smile
So you can surely run a mile
Sweet flowers are blooming
That’s why the bees start wooing

Wipe your tears don’t be sad
Even if the whole world is bad
The sun might stop burning
But you’ll never be mourning

Wipe your tears in the dark
Even if it ‘s lonely you will see a spark
Tomorrow is a far cry
But still your tears will dry...

Smile - It's Ok
What more can I say
Other than it’s made my day

To once again find my smile
Which I had lost for a while

I would rather run a mile
Than had given you a smile

If you had seen my face last week
I just frowned like a clown

That big smile you saw on my lips
Was nothing more than just lipstick

But now my smile I have again just found
And it is quite profound

You again
Time, they say is healer,
It's been ages, but I still feel her.
Deep inside, will she never fade?
A life's choice, fully paid!

Will I ever get over this?
All I ever wanted was your kiss.
Then all of a sudden, you're here again,
my heart stabbed by vicious pain.

Why do you look and smile,
You know I should run a mile.
With every thought of you,
Could I try again, something new?...

Steps
For every step I take forward
I move two steps backward
For every time I look at a view
My feet somehow seems to end up in poo
For every time I run a mile
I end up totally covered in a smile

But why you ask does this happen to me
I dont know why myself you see
I seem to placate all nature above
For apart from this I have a great love
My feet seem to have a mind of their own
walkin and turnin whenever its dawn...

Just Nonsense Really
No Pain No Gain

It’s been a while since I was here
Whispering in your ear
And I sometimes run a mile
If only just to make you smile

As Poetry Soup with potatoes and carrots
Will tonight fill up my stomach

A big white shark, dives very deep
But seems to have two left feet
It’s so dark down here, too hard to see
If there is a you and a me
As I am just a fish in the sea
Time to eat my own destiny

Do not just stand there By the door laughing at me. I can read your mind. Your love for me gone. Now clinging to someone else. I can read your mind. Now I do not care. Where you go away today. I can read your mind. Do not turn around. Try to explain why to me. I can read your mind. Do not ask my thoughts. For you would run a mile if, You could read my mind. If You Could Read My Mind

Change For the Better
I'll get better, one day.
I know I will.
I just have to keep going this way,
and try not to fall down this hill.

Sure, I'll fall out sometimes,
but if I don't, how will I learn?
These are the times-
it's strength, I'll earn.

It takes time to get better,
it takes time to be happy,
but I know if I do this with her,
I'll no longer feel crappy.

This is the time to change,
the time to smile,
time to leave this range,
and run the mile....

Mind Over Matter
As you get older it becomes plain
Your mind still thinks you are 21 years old again
For you think you can still run a mile and kick a ball
But your legs just ache and the kicking action means a fall

Fun and excitement is all you have now as stories are told
When having a few refreshments with your mates of old
As we gather around a crackling fire snug and warm
And remembrance and exaggeration is in true form.

I Don'T Think I Could Steal Second Even Without My Foot On First
I'm so sick and tired
and I can't run another mile
No more strength to raise my head
No more faith to live again
I can feel my lifeforce drain
and I can't take the pain
These hands aren't holy enough
I don't deserve your blessing touch
Yes these lips were meant to praise you
but it's something I'm not worthy to do
I am so weak
I need your stength
You are my light
You are the reason I fight
You are my only need
You are my everything...

Empty On the Sofa
Empty on the sofa
Lonely without my man
If anyone can make me feel better
Only Dr Payne can
He makes me laugh
Makes me smile
For him i'd even run a mile
It may not seem far in length
But i just need his almighty strength
To get me through each breaking day
So what I just meant to say
Was thank you for all you do for me
But I have one final tiny plea
Love me and be mine for the rest of my life
And I will always try my best at being your wife xx...

Scattered Rhymes With the Occasional Slant and Little Meaning
When the poems sound ordinary,
change your pattern of life.
Live more than write awhile.
Go out and run a mile.
Get yourself a new wife.
Visit an observatory.

Sit and zone awhile.
Witness something vile.

Fall deep in love.
Be reaped by love.

Break a woman's heart.
Get your heart broken.
Just press down the lead to start,
the only saving token.

Write, live with vigor
and unatched hunger
of madman intensity.
Lyrical festivity
may well be conjured....

Tablets
I take my tablets every day
So my ailments will go away
They say my levels are just right
And If I play the game it will be alright

When I was young I’d run a mile
Push-ups were my forte then with guile
But that was then and now is now
I’m older now I can’t comprehend why it changed somehow

So it seems the older you get
The more tablets so don’t fret
For as you walk you may rattle
But collecting and swallowing tablets is the battle.

Hard World
I'm addicted to a dangerous love affair
This town is so crazy the rules isn't fair
I'm in church alone on the phone wondering if I'll ever found my home

Laughing with life thinking its not right
Run a mile through the night
Dirty sneakers that the life
Walking in the rain with you by my side
Thinking about you all day
Sitting on a bench texting you on the phone
Everyday is my way
Knowing I'm young I still got to be strong
People tell me this is a hard world
But it'll be okay...

All Good Things
I run this mile too many times
I saw trees with evergreen leaves
I am like a bird with places to visit
Like a butterfly flying on pollen grains

Season changed I am shivering in deep ice
To the ground I fell like a fainted leaf I rusted
Tears dropped like the rain an ocean is formed
All the good things come to an end I wonder

Autumn comes leaves fall to the ground
The sun rose from the far side of east
Shining gold to a new crack of down
If I will make it right in my new home...
