Mind Over Matter

As you get older it becomes plain Your mind still thinks you are 21 years old again For you think you can still run a mile and kick a ball But your legs just ache and the kicking action means a fall Fun and excitement is all you have now as stories are told When having a few refreshments with your mates of old As we gather around a crackling fire snug and warm And remembrance and exaggeration is in true form. © Paul Warren Poetry
