I Am Me, You Are You
Trying to make me over
to what you want me to be, you see I am me
You are you
just let it be.
I am a different type of individual
not in your mind
I have my own ideas
that soon will shine.
Not losing myself in your shadow
shall I not gather my own taste and style?
be for real
take a hike, or run a mile.
I am me.
