Nelson Mandela
by most accounts was quite a fella.
But sometimes he was dissed and dismissed,
said to be a card-carrying Communist.

Nelson Mandela fought segregation
in South Africa, his beloved nation.
With keen awareness,
and a great sense of fairness,
he encouraged reconciliation.

With characteristic robustness,
he was a champion of social justice;
and as the events of his long life unfurled,
he became a hero for all the world....

Meet the challenge

Nectar vanished 
Poison left out 
Divinity perished 
Animosity cherished 
Tenacity missing 
Timidity  existing 
Goodness in vain 
Badness in gain 
Sacrifice in pain 
Endurance taken 
      as weakness 
Intolerance becomes 
      robustness 

We feel anguish 
We don’t relinquish 
Can Missing be grabbed back?
If not-why should we starve for it
Shall we change to rearrange ?
Shall we change to meet change
It’s we to decide to meet the challenge...
