July

A boy called Dapo
Egocentric fellow
Girls howl in July's kisses
Lies, monthly nursed
Of purple quills rinsing sweet tales
Universally versed with X-rayed
Youthful Zeal

Disperse These Cretins!

Brisk
breeze blows
before grim
gray gargoyle clouds
explode with static glee
rinsing the joyous sweat from
fleeing parents and progeny
scattering like insects in the spray
of annoyance at their sheer existence.

Ramadan:First Verse

A time of rinsing the sins
A month of happy moods
The way we face god unfacingly
The way we walked our prophets way

The moon a symbol that guides
A creation of allah intwined
Its light reflecting our fast
Till the day breaks does it last

In Your Sunshine I Bathed

IN YOUR SUNSHINE I BATHED

Coming out of the shadows of doubt
I bathed myself in the sunshine of your credence
And rinsing my uneasiness with your calming reassurance,
Cleansed thus, whole I became once more-
A newly born heart- ready to love
Again!

Timid Thoughts

Filter through the fortitude
mix together the mundane
cut up, squeezed, then discarded
but not a bit of flavor remains

tepid to the tongue
the words still taste all wrong
rinsing down the memories
they've been sitting out too long

the kettle starts to whistle
timid thoughts begin to run

Before the World Wakes

Willows bend over a celadon lake,
Like village women in dawn’s stealthy light,
Rinsing their hair ere the daffodils wake,
And birds crochet the air with chorus bright,
‘Neath a lone cloud turning gossamer white.

World Cruise

Wishes shattered Desires Burnt
Of what nothing but ashes remain
Rinsing The poison of lessons learnt
Lost amongst the ruthless strain
Dreams frozen beneath the silver ice
Cold era freezing hearts to stain
Rolling snowflakes down the eyes
Untold hidden stories of vain
In the time when darkness slays
Secret whispers in tears of pain
Every Single memory stays

Waking Up With a Goose and Dandelion Dust

My sight is blurry and in a hurry
Where is my underwear?
Have a pain in my drain, don't need to strain
Do I hear wind and rain?
My mouth feels like dandelion dust
Rinsing goose feathers or bust
Should I trust the starburst
Or just sit and curse or maybe worse?

Did You Forget Me, Dear (Jw)

Did you forget me
Inquire you not today
Dry clouds on the line

Yearn I now for you
One drop of dew on my tongue
Urging my sad heart

Flow no sound of sky
Or earth sweet as your breath here
Rinsing my sadness
Give me sweet reason
Eternal joy to embrace
Thrilled that you are well

Make this silence leave
Ebb my heart in its still day

Did you forget me
Edged at night waiting
Alone, the moon of your presence,
Restless till clouds go.

Refreshed

Another tide comes over me
and washes me under as simply as a feather in the wind
It grasps me with the strongest grip
and I'm greatful for this sand in my eyes
and the flow of silky softness against my skin
The sun has scorched my flesh
and I'm rinsing away these ashes
but I know it's not as painful as the scars are going to be
when I can see again
Thankfully, I'll be home by then
and I'll be washed of this entire mess
carrying with myself the lesson learned from this

Seven For Chaos and Order-- Climate

Shifting from tanned morning when day sizzles To a quick invasion of noon’s rainfall—glassy wet — I walk on eggshells perplexed by the many moods of a climate When flighty nature leaves me burnt and doused without notice! While in this outrageous raid, my eyes track night-clouds To follow a star peeping its way out in blinks, Quieting my senses--rinsing wired tresses in moon streaks. Thinking of You

Thinking of you
Wind-blown red hair
Gentle blue eyes
Inviting every tomorrow
Remembering every yesterday
Soft-spoken dreams
Resonating to eternity.
Alive and magical
Hopes flashing in the dark,
Fireworks bursting.
Energetic merriment.
Dancing eyes connect.
Smiles reflecting
Strangers that night
Strolling amid the crowd
The tide rinsing bare feet.
Silhouettes prancing
Silent excitement.
Thinking of you
Fourth of July
Again.

Celebrating 50:Viii

Night comes dense
As words without meaning here
The sun has crossed the ragged fence
Of sea licking light from the sky
Like a rain
Of false allegiance to our faith
The frogs are croaking a hoarse complaint
Against the endless noise of dogs
Proclaiming worth without pedigree
And guns are barking everywhere
Yet in all this tumult and uproar
I hear rinsing darkness
The voice of children joined in play
And the hope of coming
And I washing clouds away with dew of tears
Wait faithfully for the dawn.
