Solemn prayers rise,
Guided by the light of day:
Votive candles praise.
Sunday liturgy,
Seventy-four Hail Mary’s:
Resonate requests.
I had a mean boss called Heather
Requests were met with a "NEVER!"
When asked for a rise
Wearing a disguise
She said "that's clever but NEVER!"
It always comes
I lay down
Everything is quiet
And dark
I breathe in
I breathe out
slowly
I wait
And it comes
Praises, requests, love, thanksgiving
It didn't come
Pete's dive bar piano man
Play the guests all requests
Popular sing alongs
Pleasing with tin pan songs
Prime tunes everyone knows
Period piece musical
Porter's "Anything Goes"
The present requests advice from the past,
because he knows little of the future...
The future asks the present to be born!
But this one still cries
the mourning of the dead past...!
Lukewarm emotionless
Unsympathetic reception
To requests made by my
Heart to yours
Hardened reaction
Blinded by past hurts
Deaf to my Cry's
Unbending resentment
Has overthrow love
Could you be my best friend? The penguin asked.
And my best friend? A snowman queried.
I can be all of your best friend, Santa replied.
The best answer of all in case your friends ask you.
M/s Gauthier requests six lines of poetry
No more or less.
A bite-size Poem that's small, I guess
I cannot think of a thing to write.
Line, you will have to be content with just one bite.
Be careful for nothing in this world of sin,
but in everything give Him thanks within.
Let your requests be known to your Father above
by prayer and supplication and a heart filled with love.
Received Several Requests
Did receive several requests to write this:
Point may refuse or maybe might miss;
Am bad news bearer;
Trump is holy terror,
And daily own death he does often kiss.

wrinkled hands and greying hair
time ages us all
wisdom lies deep within
awaiting requests for advice
the beauty we once held
fleeting as it was
was lived, then disappeared
through the seasons of time
Did the pen write one's mind
The paper has no rights to interfere
Everyone has his own secrets
Dreams and requests
You have no rights to question
Unless you are deprived of
An equal and fair share on earth
On Alexa for facts I do rely
But seldom do I get a straight reply
When requests to her I call
She pays little heed at all
Her curt response is: "Git lost! Now goodbye!"
Fred's parrot learned 'Polly wants a cracker'
Now Fred struts around town with a swagger ~
But I popped Fred's balloon
Called his parrot, 'buffoon' ~
"My parrot requests gluten-free snacks, sir!"

Who's bio is quite eccentric.
Which just goes to show.
She just can't say no.
When someone requests.
That she be their guest.
She just put's them in the troup.
To spice up her daily bowl of soup.
Your love always forgives and is so kind,
It gives me great peace of mind.
Your love requests and it shares,
It smooths the deepest cares.
Your love is not surface bent,
It's strength and it endures, It is heaven sent.
Spirits are summoned
Souls awakened by freedom
Soar to the heavens
The Lord requests your presence
Paradise now awaits you

Philippians 4:6
"Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God."
A young lass in our neighbourhood named Jenna Taylia
Received many male requests to visit her semitrailer
She complied mucho times
Guys went out of their minds
Most emerged looking happy but a whole lot paler
tanka, no tanka
just syllabification
a lingua franca
a certain formulation
in need of a vacation
hoping sensation
engaged form degradation
brought indignation,
abhorrence, irritation
and requests for cessation

Go away as far as from me
Erase the memory
Never answer to my relentless questions, persuasions, requests
Set me free
I am the one guilty
Utter selfish me
Forget, forgive, mercy
Don’t make me dream of your hazel eyes
Of your beauty
Forget, forgive, mercy

There was a young man from Kentucky
Who attempted online to get lucky
Requests unspeakable
Some inconceivable
Plus those pokes made him feel yucky

If wishes could quench my thirst for you
I would be eternally drunk on requests.
My hunger well-sated by ardent feasting
upon a banquet of untethered desires.

Original poem: 'When your Eyes Meet Mine'
The Dawn has surely come
I see a small crowd gathered
A farewell to bid
The mist and fog hug the trees
Morning birds decry the weather chilly
Silver droplets of dew shine my way
The river requests goodbye
A-sail you must set me now
And with me my soul
To return no more.
