Premium Member sun warms his back

he relaxes on the beach
it is not easy
stares into the ocean
remembering his fellow soldiers
who did not make it home for Thanksgiving
soothing sun warms his back

Premium Member Dame Van Dyke

Dame van Dyke now reclines and relaxes,
while her lady-in-waiting re-waxes
      bristled shadowy skin
      of her chinny-chin-chin...
the vexation of vain battle-axes.

Premium Member a relative-at-tea

our inner spirit captain
views the medium...

a personal body-ship in
a space-time existence...

a ship in which a captain relaxes
with their outer relative-at-tea...

A Date With King Crimson

I sit here listening
to "Song of the Gulls"
I feel somewhat better now
This music always relaxes me
As do birds in general
A date with King Crimson
That is one date I shall never break!

As I Sit

AS I SIT ON THE PIER
AND WATCH THE WAVES CRASH NEAR
SUCH A BIG LAKE
THAT ITS SO PEACEFUL TO TAKE
SO QUIET AND CLEAR
AS I LOOK NEAR
IT RELAXES ME
AND MAKES ME HAPPY
I BREATH IN THE FRESH AIR
WITH NO DISPARE

Bathing Is Godly, (Abecedarium)

Am bathing!

Collecting delightful effigies
from great heights imposing joy
keeping lathered many notions.

Only paradise quietly relaxes somehow
the unconditional, variant ways,
xenial yang zygomas.

When You Get Sick With a Cold Try This

Hot tea, honey, lemon and a shot of whisky, the honey soothes your throat, the lemon kills the germs, the tea helps your cough and the whisky relaxes you! This is old school medicine that dates way back.

It works

The Sound of Rain

The sound of rain
Acts as a balm to my overtaxed brain
Is a sweet lullaby
Relaxes my bewildered mind
The soothing downpour
Washes all my worries away
Induces me to be in the arms of Morpheus
In a peaceful repose.

Premium Member Chai Tea Latte

Curled up with a book and a chai tea latte
All the cares of the day disappear from sight.
It's a sinfully good indulgence to end the day
And relaxes me as my day becomes night.
Perhaps a second cup? Yes, I just might.

Rambling Thoughts In Panic Mode

Rambling thoughts in panic mode
careen inside my head.
Fear of failure,
criticism,
deathly stares,
and pangs of guilt.

Take a breath.
Close your eyes.
Let serenity surround
with calming words
like chamomile
the mind relaxes now.

Premium Member Opposite Effect On Me

Pills have the opposite effect on me.
Valium relaxes some.
It keeps me awake for three days.
Until I finally crash.
I am not talking about a handful of valium.
I am talking about one measly pill.
I always learn these things the hard way.

Soaked street reflects in silence,
puddles absorb paint,
memories of movement, still
moonglow of a saint.
Hushed squeals of a child -
lamppost relaxes. No boots
splashing midnight. mild.

Sensory Overload

Dark silence I embrace

Dark silence slows the pace

Dark silence cuts my frustration down to size

Dark silence quiets the chase

Dark silence relaxes my face

Dark silence cools my eyes

New Love

You are my friend
your gentleness relaxes me
you cool my fire...
together we taste our languages
whisper that one more time
your never fast with me
perfect sweet passion your my pleasure
mouth to lips body to kiss
your gorgeous face can run away my agony

Your Kiss

When you kiss me you breathe air into my lungs
Reminding my heart why it should never skip a beat
When you touch me, it relaxes me
Confirming your love for me deep inside
Every time I see you, it gives me reason to continue existing
It is through you I live

Dynamism

Desire to bask in light good
Light spreads not evenly ever
Shades soothe frayed tempers
Cool breeze relaxes remarkably.
Light stays not for ever at a place
Sun is not static as we view
Earth we stay on is also dynamic.
It's not a universe but multiverse, dear!!

Pressure

Pressure
Not a day goes by without it
It stresses the takers
But it relaxes the givers
Pressure is a sign of hypocrisy
We pressure people and laugh
But when we GET pressured
All hell breaks loose
All we want is a calm peaceful life
But pressure terrorizes me every day

The Tree

The tree relaxes in the soil,
Tranquil like a freshly brewed pot of tea.
The tree is my rock,
Formidable and resilient as a soldier.
The tree is a mother,
May it provide for generations to come
The tree is a dancer
Its grace is for many, and it serves others with benevolence.
