Premium Member Sea Star Drops An Arm
The sea star is terrified.
Chase is on.
He drops the beast an arm.
Knowing it will regrow.
Saving his life one more time
At the expense of one arm....

Time's Harvest
In the land of my once fallow youth,
old phrases bury deep

Where seeds of time regrow the rhyme
—their crop my soul to keep

fragile
Is it possible that a flower can regrow?
you have to leave the roots, they say
but how can I know?
Are the roots still there and
should I care?
Should I plant a new one?

My Life As a Tree
I stand tall
Among you all
I have scratches and scars
But they make me who I am
Branches that reach out, just to please others
One Season my leaves all fall
But Its okay Because I regrow them all....

Premium Member Long-Forgotten Dreams
Sitting on my front steps
  delighting in the scene
Discerning in the ordinary
  long-forgotten dreams

A toddler hides in mommy's skirts
A dolly-girl presses dandelions to her nose
A brave lad stays up on a unicycle
  Can I, my imagination regrow?...

Avocado
I am mother goddess warrior
protector of the sacred Nisqually water
and the people of this land
I am native crow

I am also avocado
nice to eat and soft
soft to my seed and thick skinned
or is it thin? I don't know

all the time I
shed my skin
feel sweet and feed something

and then regrow

I am an avocado crow...

Give Me You Lord
I need he who made the flowers
And then he gave them stalks, that rest upon the branches
Need he who make the fruits
And then he gave the seeds, so they can be replanted
And they regrow, God you know
Just like rivers to Tilapias
Just like sugar to Malaysians
Lord that’s how much I need you, I promise I’ll always please you
Need your strength, wisdom and guidance...

What I See
what i see.
I see nothing but a dead community of people who would never snap into reality and realize life ain't a joke, We live in an world full of people who only care about themselves and loves to sugarcoat but growing up like this will never be like the 70's 80's or 90's and that's okay cause life will continue to go. Hopefully we start a new generation and they learn to regrow....

Autumn Leaves

With much wonder,

Leaves always are,

When we watch from close or maybe way out far

All of their great beauty is agreed by us both

And in each New Year will be another growth.

Wonderful color of the autumn leaves,

God’s wonderful way of nature to shed its leaves

And regrow even more beautiful

With God’s blessings of a new life

Insect Intellect
All the leaves are browning, they'll fall before the snow
Underneath they're ploughing, so all is sure t' regrow
The insects get busy, they love this time of year
Until they felt dizzy, like drunk on wine And beer
Mother earth's in overdrive, now its work or die
Nuts in dirt they hide, how they search to survive
Autumn's the busiest time of year
Lest not forget there's mountains to clear....

Dandelion
tidy floral rows
     stark ragged dandelion
shears’ hungry maw gapes
   shing!
have a care; it will regrow
                     unlike your delicate bloom

surprised, you look down
     your prize tulip’s roots mingled
          with this intruder
               woven inextricably
                    gleaming shears look quite hungry

THE 4 SEASONS
Winter, spring, summer, fall
I love them all
Winter is the season
For love to fruition

Spring brings the rain
To nourish the grain
Heaven brings the glow
For waters to flow

Summer brings the sun
Time to have fun
Children come to play
Time to be gay

Then, the gusty fall
Is time for all
For a new beginning
To regrow after falling

Premium Member Petrified Feathers
You singed
the last feather off my back
took away my sky my flight
congratulations lady fire you win
I surrender.

I'm leaving...
you can eat those feathers for all I care.
When true warmth, true peace blows my way
I'll regrow a new pristine flight.
Regain the sky-high ground
and
watch you sink into the zinc cold earth.
weighted down with singed flight feathers
petrified into silence....

Wild Grass: Farewell To a Friend
Wild Grass on the Tableland—Farewell to a Friend
The grasses on the tableland run wild,
Once in a year they perish and flourish.
The wildfire can’t burn them up in the field;
They regrow in vernal breeze at their wish.
Over the ancient path grasses spread far and wide,
And their green aligns with the city lonely.
Again say goodbye to my friend at the road side;
Lush grasses wave in parting sorrow heavy.

Plant Another
In paper I write,
Paper I throw,
Millions of trees just cut down for that
Million use those just like I!
The millions you cut, cannot
Regrow into the same
But for all I can say
Is plant another for that!
Can grow in the same way,
It will grow and grow and grow big and
Give you more to write over in a flow
But in return just do one favor
Just plant another to help
Mother nature!
For she gives you all you want.

The Apple Tree
WE RAN INTO THAT POISON APPLE TREE,
OUR LOVED MOLDED AND BECAME DARK GREEN LIKE A LEAF,
SOMEONE STOLE THEM GOLDEN APPLES AND THEN THEY FLED,
MAYBE A GRUESOME AND CRUEL THIEF,
CAN WE REGROW THAT LEAF?
DO YOU STILL HAVE THE WILL POWER AND BELIEF?
YOU COMING BACK WOULD BE SUCH A RELIEF,
IF WE CAN REGROW THAT TREE,
LET’S NOT SET EACH OTHER FREE,
I AM ON MY KNEES AND GIVING YOU MY PLEAD,
I DON’T AND WON’T BE FREED,
GOOD LUCK ON YOUR NEXT GOLDEN APPLE TRUE....

Premium Member Grasping Nettles
My father showed me how to pull nettles without being stung.
With a confident and downward grasp and without hesitation,
To grip and flatten the stinging hairs by following their direction
but I have never reached to do it, or had any to pull in my city garden.
I watched him dig sods with a spade and turn them over row by row
So that weeds would bury beneath each shiny clod and not regrow
But I have never had more of a garden than a small brick-paved courtyard....

Premium Member Cinder
Blossoms in the morning dew
A beautiful larks singing from afar

I look at each and every you
Days traverse sun to star

Dark clouds moving in so fast
Cinders’ about to make a mark

Debauchery of ash and ruin
Flowers burned no more lark

How quick a dream can turn to black
Erased and smoldering clouds are dark

Remnants piled on the ground
Tears fall all is lost Cinder left a brutal mark

Rebuild regrow again someday
A place of wonder of sun and heart....
