Forest " Felled "

Freedom to be who we are
Obtrusive, then no longer a star
Rude to others, which i don't understand
Eternally, not on Poetry Soups land
Stay away, recant your thoughts
Tomorrow will change you? i doubt that not

How Can One Recant a Kiss

How can one recant a kiss,
Or disignite a spark?
One might as well unhook the stars
And stumble in the dark.

T would be ill-favored to withdraw
So grand a thing as this,
Let passion play without regard
And forever hold, the kiss.

Troubles

troubles are a state of mind, the tree wont bark if you unwind, leave em on a leafy branch, ask the lord to them recant, till less of them you find...Don I spoke to an old guy on his motor wheelie today... he said he was going to the uniting church for xmas... to join the lonely and the looney

With integrity under fire recant and
You'll be labled liar.' There are riots
On the streets now' parades about
The middle east, sad-guy just counts
Up the fines, he gets from, his u l e z
Low down feats, its not because he's
Muslim..' or the mayor that gives them
Room.? Just one thought an earlier
Britian never lived within such gloom.'

Cornish Hen

The Hen
Goes cluck cluck cluck
Then comes the Crane
Selling his D refrain
Hen react

The web is cobbled
The spiders finished their jobs
Out come the flies
Nature, tried to defy
He recant

Cyanide kills all the living
Chemical dreams
Make the sane ones scream
Life moves on
Then care no more

As they live in poetic illusions
Or so it seems...

Single I Like

Never meet your Hero's
Never revisit your past young Self

History or Ancestry
Like falling from a Tree
Scar's and broken bone's remember
Pretending words never hurt me
Are woven into our medical records

Like the sullied places our brain goes
When we desperately do not want to be alone
But friends are few and have more pressing things to do
Than recant the blues of old news

Ye Gods, What Now

Sitting in the bar; perusing the headlines:
From “Galileo Forced to Recant Statement that Earth Orbits Sun”
To “China Bans Reincarnation without Government Permission” -
Yahweh grimaces and hands Zeus another beer
As He mutters, “What were we Thinking?”
Thor turns to Meteora: “What about another game of darts, darlin’?”
Buddha just rolls His eyes
And sighs
As Jesus and Mohammed discuss hitching a ride to another galaxy

Summer Sunset

Sequestered from mundane oration
Until this spell from Earth’s rotation
Meanders from my frozen gaze.
Melting clouds in pastel plush,
Evanescent waning rays,
Recant my vision’s wanderlust.

Slivered shards of ruby hues,
Unflinching wisps of reddish blues,
Nuanced haze in wafting threads,
Supplanting twilight’s blushing gray.
Eventually dusk’s blanket spreads;
The trance is broke – I look away.

How To Seize An Opportunity

First you must unlearn
The art of hesitation.
Drive a wooden stake through
The heart of inhibition.
Recant all those promises
That do not currently profit
Your needs at this particular moment.

Ignore the screams and moaning
And pleas of mercy from
Your victims. They will get over it
Once the sudden onslaught
Of pain and betrayal subsides.
All wounds will heal
With time and weak inaction.
Put this moment
To thy submission.

More broken than wreathen

If by taking a momentarily recant, would you commit me to treason
My thoughts conclusion would only draw a blame
You drew deep breath, blowing out our flame
Pathetic I be, for the worthless way I complain

Inside a massive bleakness, my feelings are proclaim;
With blind eye daggers, my cause was nothing but pain
Expecting found sympathy defines me totally insane
But an ignorant twisted season left something far more broken than wreathen

Molten Anger

And, it tore through dumb claim;
the fakes had commingled with
the truth. Nowhere my soul
found peace.

One by one shadows were losing
their skeletons. The tarnished face
was forced to recant its nose
and shrank into hole.

Blood grievously turned grey
and skin tanned blue in fierce withdrawl.

He tracked naked in squall
of abuse leaving the eyes for blind rubbers
and bald wolves.Legs tweet, the child
is coming back home.

The Trusted Servant

All the leaves turned and waved
Before the darkness turned them grey
And buried 'neath the scarlet sins
Were skies so red the poppy grins

"Heed not your torment" old crows caw
"The carriage ride belongs to all"
As monotone the workmen chant
Sixpence for stipples love's recant

"The day will come" the old tree swayed
"Tho seasons change and hearts will fray,
Steadfast your beacon, pointed north,
And hallowed be, your love go forth"

The Angst of Night

Oh Lord, wouldst thou abandon me
my dirty hands besmirched with tears
trembling ‘mid a tortured truth
encased in walls of man made fears.

Would you pass judgment on the man
denuded of his soul
condemn the pieces of his life
denying he is whole.

Oh Lord, recant this heresy,
forgive such men their failing sight
do slowly in their darkest hour
lead them through the angst of night.

The Cherry Pick

Cherries with the wine,
Silky red curves to dine,
Floating with the ice,
Looms my tongue to charms and dice;

She devil in brine,
Wet dips and her wits decline,
Breathless she tosses,
In the fresh frolic gossips;

Cheered she baits just fine,
Duly caressed remains mine,
Clamors to recant,
In her to and fro descents;

Between sedation,
Dances edged by temptation,
No accusation,
Accepts flagrant violation;

Bitten ecstasy;
Masticated revelation:

Haunt

That argument as dissident
confines as progress stays unkempt.
How single scourging, love unspent
so wastes in apathy to vent.

A time where virtue needs content
too often wrath builds is consent,
as sorrow latent, but then bent
while shadows focus to extent.

Consigning forecast so relent,
apology the needful meant
confuses like no words recant
confers its distance to distant.

And builds enactment's foolish flaunt,
so time away from Thee . . . is haunt!

Old School

Old School Miracle Man 3/8/2025 High Tech is impeding my remaining old school, though sometime late in life I made this conscious choice. That even though some saw me as just some old fool, That throughout my lifetime my opinions I’d voice. There are many things that i can no longer do, but i can accomplish much that some others can't. I'll remain old school until my lifetime is through, I've neither will, nor desire, for this to recant.
