Starling
A meteor crashed into heather,
They reacted together,
Not much later that night,
A young starling took flight....

His little taradiddle made no impact
He lies most of the time, this is a fact
The only one who reacted was old Aunt Gree
She is losing it a bit at age one hundred and three...

God created us on some level
my dad told me,
when I came home disappointed saying:
,,I should've known that!"
,,Why did I not behave differently?"
,,I don't know why but I just didn't reacted"
And I always think about his sentence every twice a week....

Why Such a Reaction?
I made you dinner
I cleaned up after
All just for you, dear one
then we made love
So full of bliss that night
I waited three weeks
To say, "I love you"
Never expecting the way you reacted
What was going through your head
when on your face was a look of dread?...

Beauty Blind
______________

and beauty's blind too

reacted to or distracted by
as every mother's act

is true
no forest need

resolve its trees
the lion-fang's

myopic hue
the earnest creature's

bitter due
as love content

confounds the fool

Lies
Tomorrow, I thought, when I awake,
I shan't tell lies, I'll refuse to fake,
Therefore, going about my daily routine,
I told the truth most honest and keen.

As the day progressed hour by hour,
And so my senses began to tire.
People reacted in a most angry way,
Hence I promised, "Tomorrow I'll lie all day"....

Premium Member Darla gets her nose pierced
When Darla got a paper cut she went ballistic.
Reacted the way others acted if their arm was gnawed off.
If someone bumped her she complained for years and years.
Every scrape, scratch, and poke was a huge deal.
When she came home with her nose pierced we were incredulous.
It’s a cat, said grandma. I am not surprised....

Revolution
Fireworks
The new millennium
2000
Promised 100 years of peace
Then came 9/11
And the world reacted
Forgot to think
And we went to war like idiots
Hitting innocent and
Guilty alike
Like feral dogs.
And now we hail every
Student with a smoke bomb
As a democrat
When it must be clear
They have nothing to offer,
But strife....

The Last Kiss
THE TONGUES OF FIRE
THAT ERUPTED FROM YOUR SKULL
SEARCHED IN VAIN AND FAILED
TO SMOTHER THE FIRE OF MY LIFE
THAT WAS HIDDEN IN A CROOK,
 AND FLOWED AS WATER.
BUT MY FIRE OF LUST WAS PUT OUT BY IT
AND THE ASHES
REACTED WITH MY TEARS
AND BURNED
SINGEING ME INSIDE AND OUT
ALAS ! IT NEVER GAVE BACK
THE FINAL KISS I GAVE YOU...

Talking To a Pint
I thought I sent you down my belly,
What are you doing in my head?
You conniving old shoe! You bitter brew
Go away from me, be forever gone
I’m finally done with you…!

Wait, wait –hic up-! I over reacted
Give me another sip…?
One more before I go…
Of course we’re bestttt… still friends –hic up-!
I was being fu….. Silly

Locked Out
I am locked out.

My hope is in a cage, no doubt.

My family is trapped.

On the other end of the phone, their energy sapped.

As I turn down that hall.

Filled with zombies, they stumble and fall.

My memories redacted.

Because of how I reacted.

To being turned to a teardrop.

That falls from my mother’s face onto the blacktop....

Lamenting
For unspoken answers,
there was always the-
    question, why hawks
were needing the peace ?

Tied to innate fringes,
I want an explicit display.
    The prologue was very
misleading.

War was inside and
outside. Were you a hobbes-
ian ? I am not afraid
of death.

Reacted so violently.
The colored shirts should be
    taken off. Let us see
the scars !

Don'T You Dare By Kaden Mackay
I'm sorry
I'm so sorry
Don't look at me with your sweet doe eyes
I'm sorry
My heart exploded with the pressure
My emotions spilled
All over the floor
Into your heart
I couldn't handle the littlest bit of pain
I reacted in the only way I knew
I'm sorry
Forgive me for thinking I was in love
Forgive me for being so sweet
We are too young for this my honeybee
My dying sun
My shattered moon
My imploding stars...

Left Alone
Empty in thought
Memories of us left to rot

Completely unaware
Perfectly round like a square

Two pieces to a puzzle incomplete
Yet we put each other on our feet

Heart lay to waste
You reacted in bitter haste

I can not find
What is left behind

Now you are lost
I paid an ultimate cost

Never ending pain
Coursing through the brain

Everything we once had, now gone
I just feel so bad, hard to move on...

Patty's Proclamation
Partly patient possibly passionate pretty Patty played prissy.
Rarely romantic rugged rakish Randy reacted with rejection.
Quickly quashing questions quixotic quietly quitting this quandary
she sashayed skirts and simply said sayonara sucker!

* note * my sissy made me giggle out loud when she tried.
A couple friends too ,sounded like they were pie-eyed!!

Do You Carry Heavy Burdens
I carried heavy burdens
I didn’t know I had
They reacted just like toxins
And made me feel real sad
Was there any value to life here on the Earth?
Everything I thought I had was vanity and air
Then I found a brand new birth
And Jesus took my care
Everyone who trusts in Him
Has nothing more to fear
But joy in blessings to the brim
Knowing always He is near
So cast your cares on Jesus, every single one
And live a life of peace on Earth and you shall see the Son...

Lava Truth
Felled in the form and gelled in indescribable,
It was a conundrum quite unfathomable,
Some chemicals reacted on its fibres,
A reaction took place in its innards,
and laughed at scared cowards,
who had shrunk and sprung back,
as if running with their ruck sacks,
the lava spewed from the volcano,
rammed in constantly dismembering form,
all that came in its way was torn,
some truths are like lava,
they simply sear through,
make culprits hurry and attention all drew....

Like a Prayer
Like a prayer

we are unobserved
when closest to parting our lips
uttering our beliefs
and like beggars put aside our pride
asking for understanding and relief

surely we do not dwell in the topics
we discuss but live in a world
frightened most of the time
and whether we thought or think now
acted or reacted in other times
leading or misleading ourselves
by habit and biology

we are still after all
psychologically impaired
psychically dazed
pathologically entwined...

Shooting Star
Last week I saw a shooting star,
A rare and wondrous sight.
Inside our car, my spouse and I
Reacted with delight.

I made a wish, remembering
Instructions I'd once heard.
My husband missed his chance,
Believing such a thing absurd.

My wish was for a future time
But since Election Day,
I wonder if I could have helped
Turn things a different way.

Perhaps if I had wished for help
Electing You-Know-Who,
The outcome of the race just might
Have switched from red to blue....

Tragedy (Sijo)

On impulse I reacted to frenzied screams, shrill calls for help;
Ran towards the blazing house where flames rose high, but all in vain…
A sudden wave of nostalgia sustains my reminiscence.
