A Tractor

riding a tractor I reacted to its tread - underneath put down buried like a seed watered and lit by the sun - produced grateful fruit what a shiny ride blue skies, cotton clouds, straight back - resistant to wind troubles enhance croon held up by the earth angels - smiling at the youths newbies want to ride wisdom is reared on the seat - knowingly, I pray

No idea about farming, so I learn a lot from your beautiful senryus. Blessings for your prayer.

A wonderful string of senryu. Yes, indeed. There must be lots of wisdom that farm children learn just living so close to nature! Moon Harp

A lovely string of Senryu's, Kim. I never rode a tractor but having raised 6 kids and having 6 grandkids I've been on many hayride trucks/tractors lol. Nicely done... Happy Mother's day!

The powerful force that moves us and plows the land we travel, and gratefulness of all that we have been blessed with, it is quite the journey. Now, watching the new generations upon the seat of the same machine is amazing, isn't it? I guess we all read into poetry with our own eyes. To me, this poem touches me as the power of life itself, and regeneration of the newness of it. I love it. Metaphorically captivating!

Power used for good; now that's real power. Is difficult as it is now, image what old time farmers had to do the till the soil. Not and easy life. But honest.

I saw a lot of honest with farming in Germany. So cool to have your eyes opened to a whole different world!

It’s amazing how God provides for our needs, especially by placing us in surroundings that help us smile no matter what the day brings. I know nothing about farming, but I’m surrounded by plowed farmland, and it looks like very hard work for what the farmer produces. I enjoyed reading.

It seems sometimes we can't do it all by ourselves... I like "underneath put down buried like a seed watered and lit by the sun - produced grateful fruit" such profoundness, you're riding it with experience, dear Kim <3

I've heard it's fun to drive a tractor. I like how you weave this machine with the summer day and production of food.

Having grown up on a farm and learned to drive a tractor when I was 12, I enjoyed and appreciated your chain of Senryu, Kim.
