Beauty Blind

______________

and beauty's blind too

reacted to or distracted by
as every mother's act

is true
no forest need

resolve its trees
the lion-fang's

myopic hue
the earnest creature's

bitter due
as love content

confounds the fool

Enjoyed this. I am particularly fond of those last lines. I often say, “beauty needs an audience”, I am always looking for it! xomo

The last line came out of nowhere so to speak. Inspired, I guess. Bet Shakespeare already said it and better.

Great writing! For sure; see things as they are, and not through the eye of another's illusions--not even one's own. All is beauty--but, instead, most often our act is blind, seeing though eyes of ugliness and wars. What is inside of us, manifests as our outward vision and physical reality.

Thanks Joe. Quite the insight about reality being a reflection of ones own "spirit". Jesus kept saying it- Believing is Seeing!
