Locked Out

I am locked out. My hope is in a cage, no doubt. My family is trapped. On the other end of the phone, their energy sapped. As I turn down that hall. Filled with zombies, they stumble and fall. My memories redacted. Because of how I reacted. To being turned to a teardrop. That falls from my mother’s face onto the blacktop.
