A Sample of Separateness

absolutes,
    abstracts of the absurd
ordained sounds
or
incoherent ramblings,
notions of the infinite:

rarefied thoughts
random
eclectic ideas
idiomatic
incomprehensible
on
first sight
then
oblivion beckons

Load Gaseous Emisions

As I ascend the stairs to my waiting boudoir I expel these loud gaseous emissions just like a car Is it the rarefied atmosphere More likely what I ate I do fear Must lay off the beans, it smells like an abattoir

The Papers

The purple lands
reading the daily papers
following others leads
A message from your editor
The Sunshine is low
the air rarefied
but every friend is now your enemy
no matter the end
and the rest is mere interest
across some arcane wind

Undying Passion

Eternal city where Mere mortals bravely tread Inhaling rarefied atmosphere That still evokes Renaissance passion Caravaggio's art speaks from his paintings While our verbal discourse becomes mute Before his mighty vision.

Her Ship Made It Home

Her Ship Made It Home

He set sail to her port going southbound

through choppy sea swells to rarefied ground.

With wind at his back he picked up steam

navigating the channel, eyes a gleam.

Her beacon of light lead his way by rote

as howls of wind whistled to all she wrote.

It's Too Early To Write Poetry

A summer evening rarefied
An elder spirit clarified,
Made spare and true, the ingenue
Long bid adieu returned anew
To walk with me and disagree
On wrong and right then reunite
In love's accord our faith restored;
Late magic hour to endow her,
Naught overcomes such sweet power,
Wise crone to some, yet my flower.

Miles Tones

You spoke a new language
  of rarefied air
  guided nonchalantly
  through curving channels of brass

Conduits of cool
  juries of jazz
  floating past soulful valves
  harbingers of what will come

Slender fingers
  improvising storylines
  magistrates of melancholy
  bailiffs of bop

Miles from the mainstream
  a milestone of
  modern modalities
  kind of blue

Reexamining the Correct Path Forward

I exhale
before each inhale.

I unfurl the umbrella
before I jump.

Exhale.
Rarefied air

slows the descent,
spelunking, searching

for the key
that unlocks

the safe where
I placed your heart.

Inhale.
Jet streams

lift me up
over the cresting

clouds. Exhale.
Sunset. Inhale,

the sun rises,
streaming through

the keyhole. Exhale,
the first tumbler falls.

Published Poet

Published Poet

I wrote a poem 24 years ago,
I have forgotten it now,
but I was paid twenty quids
and my plan was to frame it
for anyone doubt
I was truly a poet,
My wife was sarcastic of this
paltry sum she didn’t get it
I had joined the rarefied
of a poet who had been paid
for his work.
I do not do poetry comps
anymore,
the excitement of winning was
too overwhelming.

The Poem

it's the rarefied feelings
where you linger
in depths of mind
becoming the chirography
of my eternal soul

in a climax
of thoughts
you become
my poem
and i the poet

i lay you down
on sheets of white
in a fingered touch
like a poet's pen

play with you
amidst words
through confines
of darkness
as they erupt
in the rise
and fall
of winded breaths
leaving me
lusting for more
than metaphorical

Living Dangerously

A moon interrupted;
riles the social class.
A native sense comes of age.

Piercing stare becomes rarefied,
unbuttons the peaks and
kills you with a mallet.

The scared mask falls
off the divine embrace, lets
free the pigeons from the golden cage.

The forked tongue will
speak only truth. Blood
was the only stain, washed easily.

I will get the tan
in moonlight only. My scars
will remain invisible in silver.

De Vindiciis

ON REVENGE

Revenge is too often rarefied as the idol of man's veneration.
It is also viewed as unrighteous of earnest thought.

Having recovered from slander
By my adversary,
my enemies and my antagonists;
Learned what it means to be bullied
Love left out of reach of them!

I saved myself from evildoers;
These ruthless bastards and es left me no choice;
but to fight;
I stayed lying in wait to approach;
My compelling truth conspired against them.
Revenge is sweet…..Sometimes!
