It's Too Early To Write Poetry

A summer evening rarefied
An elder spirit clarified,
Made spare and true, the ingenue
Long bid adieu returned anew
To walk with me and disagree
On wrong and right then reunite
In love's accord our faith restored;
Late magic hour to endow her,
Naught overcomes such sweet power,
Wise crone to some, yet my flower.

Hi Anil. I wonder when one truly becomes an "elder."

I have to admit I thought I was going to read something else according to the title. I love the last two lines that say everything. This entry is poetic throughout. Well done

Doug: You real poets are over my head. I'm more of a "less than" Mark Twain of rhymes. :o) Keep up the good work, it has been well received by others. :o) Thanks for sharing with all of us on the soup. oldbuck

Hey Old Buck. I'm definitely guilty of trying too hard, fairly often. Y'all keep 'em straight there in Middle America. : )
