Waiting while worrying...weird

The Lion of Judah

A priest on top of Mount Zion
Offered a prayer to Orion
The scripture quoted
On the air floated
So lunch was fresh for the lion

Premium Member Last Words

Do you want your last words noted,
oft repeated, and endlessly quoted?
More than wit and wisdom, you'll need timing,
and, in my case, they'll be rhyming.

A Joker

Sacred thoughts
for normal minds,
quoted books, nothing here,
being hard headed, staying
with the norm, no matter the
detriment, turns into comedy.

11 Reasons People Die
David J Walker

Broken hearts and
Broken bones

A long list of
Homophones

Of all the other
Vague unknowns

Quoted in a despite sigh
A lost list of

Tears to cry
11 reasons people die

Though everyone knows
10 are a lie

1 is the only number
To apply

To all the reasons
People die

Premium Member President Trump and Chairman Xicada

After the riot-
With Chairman Wuhan swirling around his head.
President Trump, with a Bible in hand,
strolled from the embattled white house
toward a smoldering church.
Quoted some apocalyptic verse.
Then cussed out the press...
For the first time in seventeen years
The cicadas were snickering
They were not in the least bit impressed.

Cold Chill

it's a hard thing to see,suffering I mean.
the helpless feeling
the cold chill of the uncertain.
I don't like a unpredictable life.
once I called upon a Priest only to get Biblical passages quoted to me verses at a time,oh and don't forget the trips to europe he talked about.

life is a war
a battle you need to fight
and
fight you must.

Premium Member Apology

They say I said.
But I stammered.
They quoted the spluttered,
and only said what they imagined.
Did i say what they imagined?
Reflecting,
I meant no harm.
Think no shame on me.
And if indeed they say I said it,
or my part repels for a moment
Take this as my apology .

Just Another Dream

And we danced. We danced by ourselves in the dark with no music. We laughed at jokes with no punchlines, and we became drunk from each others love... We quoted the insane, and finished each others thoughts... We sat gazing into the night as the warm, stormy wind howled around us. Just another day in the life... Just another dream in our endless night...

Premium Member His Offer

For God so loved the world
(Including you and me)
That He gave his only begotten Son
(He came to set us free)
That whomsoever believeth in Him
(His one and only request)
Shall not perish
(Unlike the rest)
But shall have everlasting life.
(Away from this world's strife).

Quoted from John 3-16 with my words in parenthesis.

Premium Member Never Grow Old

I see them dancing
Across the Milky
Way, Illuminates
Stars, as they go by
Singing songs of love

Gracing the star
Lit sky, as years
Go by singing
Songs of love, sigh

Never grow
Never grow
Old, Old, Old

They shall
Never

Die

(Some of the words in this poem are somewhat quoted from a song that my mother and
father sang in their latter life.)
