journey's amidst life
is it a monkey puzzle
reaching ones haven
many travels unravelled
the reward of a sweet rose

even the laughter fades

tho life is a puzzle at times
i find myself more like a mime
i keep my mouth closed
and watch from shadows
and piece it together just fine.

I read a newspaper,
In it was half a column
On a people starving and dying,
The rest of it was :
Photos,
Crossword puzzle,
And faded letters.
Picasso in pieces —
a puzzle, out of sorts…
a commentary slice.
the raw rooster of war,
cocked and loaded —
a worldwide death sentence.
