The agile leopard
dives into the deep waters
to seek its dead prey
Entered in Raul Moreno's contest, " Primal Instinct "
A bloody mass
of mutilated souls
chaos born from our primal instincts
a ravaged mess
of broken spirits
eternally falling
into the darkness
Wake oh laggard sun and anoint a freed age.
Wake the guff and lose all allegiance primal.
Roar and rise angelic at man's evolving
endlessly joyful.
Primal law of nature
In winter
Give the most
Save the must
Lost silver’s feral
As it swirls aqua ~
Elemental chance
looms on fins primal
Sated or not, swims
and grins......eureka!

MELODY OF CINQUAIN
I am depth in shallow worlds,
renouncer of material wealth,
the answer to every discussion.
but,
I
hold
no
contest
to
the
beauty
you
possess.
Form:
the soundless gong of Om reverberates
the primal word, source of all creation
rapture rises in each node bliss locates
we dissolve becoming God’s vibration
wild ideas pound into my head
others don’t hear them, right?
My primal self follows them as if they are urges
I leap into life’s wilderness
to be totally me
One day here, next day gone
An unexplainable part of life's marathon
That day is final
Seems so primal
Creatures of earth as we pass the baton
D oses of desperate lust
E very feverish stitch of me wants every bit of you
S igniture of my heart
I rresistibly intoxicating
R egressing to primal
E motions
Some dog taught me this,
your head sinks and your butt floats.
It’s called cat paddling!
For “Primal Instinct” contest. And the dog says’ “Oops, My Bad!”
Epigram #290:
PRIMAL
Just fancy this: jumpy joy jests,
Shades of fond bliss primes private quest.

She makes me animalistic
My want is primal
To rip, tear, ravish and conquer.
She makes me gentle
My want is intimate
To hold, caress, kiss and love.
She is EVERYTHING
Blurred distortions,smeared stirrings
put aside to make an extract in
filaments of primal abstractions.
Restless movements dripping,drop
by drop into pure fields of bliss
Id
greedy, primal
starving, seeking, clamoring,
impulsive, wild, mild, deliberative,
prohibiting, sanctioning, tempering,
sangfroid, equanimity,
Superego
Listen to poem:
skies ablaze
i hold my breath
time in slow motion
surreal and primal
half a world away
i recognize the silence
yet can't forget you
AP: Honorable Mention 2022
Today I am
A long, black beetle
In a supermarket
Scurrying
To primal mandates,
Obscene on the shine
Of polished plans,
Not knowing
That bigger traps
Have room
Like freedom.
primal feral instincts
involuntarily stir
catching us off guard
yet here they are
vibrations unwelcome
which so appear
where grow their roots
which we nurture

The present prince of Prussia prances proudly
With preaching priests, while prattling proles suppress
The primal pressure to prank the pretext
Of proper praise for the precious primate.
My mother says
Stretch marks are tiger stripes
Primordial waves
Of growth
And change
I need to be more than human
A primal thing
My development intertwined with the pink lines on my thighs
