After reading your poem, I'm reminded of a show on animal planet which documented a lioness which would "steal" the newborn calf from its dam, and instead of killing the calf, the lioness would want to mother the calf, and pal around with the calf. Of course, lioness had no milk, and eventually the calf would die from starvation. The filmers documented approx. 6-8 calves, and one lasted something like 14 days. Reason was not understood.

I missed this photo. It sounds as if there was a wild animal in the photo. "Fortiori" is a very interesting word. I'm now wondering what the strong reason the animal was lurking or peering.
