The mighty replaced
The weak will rise up
Nothing lasts forever
Reality is tough

Choose to be humble
Live a life with care
What others see as less
In the end is truly more...

Potential for a good-looking corpse,
accident of birth,
genetic defect,
lack of self worth?

Maybe an invisible brand
only villains can devine;
pretty face,
a “kick me hard” sign?

Palpable sense of innocence,
evil at the core;
death wish,
not knowing the score?

Decrees of fate and chance,
pride before a fall,
chaos theory,
nothing much at all?

What makes a victim?

Little more than this:
filling a space,
the wrong time,
the wrong place…...
