Salting the Earth

The sins of the fathers don't hurt us We won't let them hold us back We have so much to give So as we stand on the hill Watching the world burn away Puffed up with pride we will fall Live today for tonight we die, salting the earth We ruin what we stand for We tear the good to shreds but still As we end the lives of those we protect we salt the earth We burn the world down and salt the earth We'll live and we'll die as hypocrites because we are human
