There came a dark rain from above
With sorrow we released all our doves
They flew up through the night
Some plummeted with fright
One returned framed by God's Glorious Love

Limerick
Love kicked me with no hesitation
I am sore as a vigorously used muscle
I have became love's rag doll
Started up, but soon plummeted downward
Love has grabbed and choked me abruptly
As of right now, I am dead as a door nail....

Ode
The temperature plummeted to 26 last night
I figured something like that
When I discovered the cats
On my bed
Together
In fact, side by side
Actually touching;
No batting or hissing involved
So according to Fluffy,
Hades froze over

Oh, to mourn the death of a season
Causing dread for the prediction of nature
Trampling through leaves plummeted from glory
Overt manipulations of human emotions
Barters the time of years gone by
Everlasting cycles of gain and loss
Remembrance eases the transition

Acrostic
Into the heavens he flew to escape his fate,
Caged in a prison cell the equivalent of death,
And so he soared above on wings made of wax;
Rising up he threw away all caution to the wind
Until the sun melted his wings, such a sorry end,
Sea awaited him as he plummeted back to earth.

Round and round circling
about the flickering flame,
heedless of the danger
till your wings got caught
by the treacherous fire;
you knew not what hit you
as you plummeted down,
dead.
Poor little one, you were
a victim of your own folly,
too late learning that not
all that glitter bestow
life.

With wax and feathers
Strapped to his arms,
Icarus took flight like a bird,
Escaping Crete,
The labyrinth far below.
Forgetting his father’s advice,
Feeling freedom,
Like a moth to a light,
He soared towards the sun.
The wax melted and he moulted,
Then down he plummeted,
To the ocean below,
Where the waves washed over his corpse.

Life’s Journey
An adventure begins – a seed plummeted into a liquid pool.
A ripple arises – waves increase, they continue to expand.
They gain girth – they run across the crystalline surface of time.
They absorb much – their journey begins to wane.
They touch the shore – dissipate and are no more.

Once a mighty angel
The right hand man
Expelled forcefully
Lost his wings
Plummeted to the land
Hatred left seething
Hotter than desert sand
Minions followed
An army at his command
Destroy the almighty’s loved ones
A course of destruction was planned
All of his attempts may be averted
It is up to you to resist temptation
Have the strength to withstand

A lobster trap must have caught something big
It plummeted into the depths of the Aurora Sea
Captain Fishman danced a glorious jig
Thinking he’ll caught a treasure for free
When they were pulling it up the rope almost broke
This must be a sea creature or monster maybe crewmate
Or a mermaid or merman said first mate McBloke
Mermaid wiggled and jiggled all the way out of that sea

It was a summer night.
A windswept moonbeam
plummeted. Sexualizing
an indigo flesh. A butcher
was seducing
a spider, in company of
a holy book. Sunbathing in
mass grave of skulls. The eyes
peeking out of the caps.
You want to pluck the blue
berries from
volcano mounts. The key player
will burn your script. Body
of milk died on snow. The
moth was coming out of cocoon.

A rolling drum of thunder resonated
outside lightning twisted across the grey
expanse of sky simply inundating.
Trees began to tango, swirl and jive
while sheets of rain plummeted from clouds
pummeling our startled lawn,
emboldening the rhododendrons to bloom,
liberating the Clematis to sprout,
invigorating and exciting the whole garden
and all before the first day of spring.

Temperatures have plummeted for November,
And I am monitoring my thermostat setting
Snow is expected, normally, not until December,
Temperatures have plummeted for November
My fireplace is a-glow with hot ash and ember
I suspect sleet and snow we’ll soon be getting
Temperatures have plummeted for November
And I am monitoring my thermostat setting.

Have you ever stared death in the face?
Your eyes growing wider as he steps closer.
Pupils dilate as your day grows ever darker.
Sweat brewing on your brow,
even though the temperature has plummeted.
Your age finally catches up to you.
Say your final goodbyes to your family, your friends.
As your life flashes past your eyes, all the joys, all the hate.
Death has finally sought you out to bring you home.

it seemed like
two tight busted
bloused women
we're going to have
a round about but
a meaningful in
cluded very stout
woman broke it up
no one wants to watch
this she shouted as the
ratings plummeted about
but as soon as she left set
all that made
a difference
to what was
viewed
the two in fued seemed
to fuse together as we
segued to the voice of
Bob Hope singing
thanks
for the
mamories

I do not know?
My memory has been tainted
My mindset had been erased
My thoughts laced in worries
A lost expression painted my face
A place with no mirth
A place with a little injunction
A place brooded over past conversations
The sentences corrupted and caused dysfunction
The ghastly events raced through my head
The past plummeted through all my understanding
The idea of joy is mocked
I find life with constant reprimanding

She promised we would see again,
The trailing night was a restrain.
She wanted to see me some years ago,
Couldn’t see her even to say hello.
Raging hearts were yet to be pacified,
Her late coming wasn't yet justified.
She promised we'd see again in the fall,
But mortals cannot see all nor know all.
Her mind plummeted into the night,
She was a shadow in the light.
Slowly she eased into the beyond,
Pulling apart our newly found bond.

Couplet
Juicy, ripe cherries, still on the jade green trees,
In vibrant, orange sunshine, glinting at summer.
Blackberries winking, saffron noon hour of ease,
When rose strewn seconds, seem lost in slumber.
Fragrant, purple plums gleam hotly, very coveted,
Lustrous, wild raspberries, deeply red and purple,
Ruby red apples aglow, like fiery sun plummeted,
Until all are lost in darkness, 'neath stars eternal.

Fear
of
flying—
facing fear
he boarded the plane
which some minutes after takeoff
violently shook and then plummeted toward earth—
him being sad, not over his impending death, but having just won the lottery

The last line of 21 syllables will appear as more than one line on mobile devices and smaller screens, but it actually fits on one line on larger screens. Ah, the Romanesque broccoli spirals of the fibonacci sequence!
