Your Mum and Dad

Philip Larkin
an English poet to whom we hearken
invoked his Mum and Dad
in words now famous, funny but some consider bad.

Adieu, Royal Highness

Goodbye, Prince Philip
A man who stood steadfast by the woman he loves
... and helped her lead a nation to glory
May your afterlife be a tranquil journey

Quantum Leap

The evangelist
Appeared beside a chariot
And taught the eunuch.

He preached the gospel
And baptized the believer,
Then was whisked away...

Vignette-The Ambassador

In Bethsada near Galilee
Christ found him saying'Follow me'-
Quickly,Philip sought out a friend,
Inviting him to'come & see'
Thus becoming an apostle-emissary.

Limerick Contest Celebrity

Oh Philip!

Queen Elizabeth, long may she reign,
Is the Head of substantial terrain.
She married a prince
Whose gaffes make her wince
But life's certainly never mundane!

Lord of the Dance

Golgatha’s gravity reversed
When Isaac laughed an Easter verse.
Lord of the Dance, the devil’s slain;
O death, where is thy sting, thy stain?

2016 - Continuity

The men are not made by war,
But our Kingdom is always tore.
Why must we always hate?
Can we not have a different fate?

Revolution of the young,
Will bring about change - sure to come.
O where is the next silver tongue?
When they be found beat the drum-

Greek Orator Demosthenes

Demosthenes was 'de most' famous of orators in ancient Greece!

His "Philippics" attacking King Philip of Macedonia is considered a masterpiece!

History recorded this and many other of his incisive orations,

For which he received well-deserved thunderous 'ovulations'!

(Written with considerable tongue in cheek!)

The World Has Lost a Queen

The world has lost a queen
By Michelle Morris
10/09/2022

The world has lost a queen
But Heaven has gained an angel
Time marches on, and
Each monarch has their moments

Gone but not forgotten
Forever in our hearts and minds
Now with Philip hand in hand
She lives in Heaven by his side

Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh

Goodbye, Prince Philip, husband of the Queen, age ninety-nine.
Thank you, for giving up prince hood from Greek and Danish lines.
Thank you, Royal Navyman, for setting prisoners free;
thanks for wildlife protection and awards as D of E.

The Winning Post

The Winning Post

I had one of those rare moments , a time when synchronicity flows with grace ....We met informally many many years ago whilst out and about in The Great Park ... I challenged HRH Prince Philip to a race .... he smiled a beautiful smile with his genuine eyes , a genuine chap smiling at a genuine lady and it made our day ....
God Bless

Phil Wizard

Philip Kim, aka Phil Wizard
can breakdance with the fury of a blizzard.
Some say the sport of breaking is just a gimmick,
but with its speed and athleticism, it belongs in the Olympics.

Phil Wizard, all things considered,
gave a great performance that really delivered.
His breaking is of the highest level.
Want proof? He's got an Olympic gold medal!

How Come You Know Me

Philip to Nathaniel said, “I have found
in Nazareth one foretold to be crowned.”
     “From Nazareth could
     come anything good?”
Nathaniel replied with sceptical frown.

“Truly here's a man without deceit,”
Jesus remarked when they came to meet.
     “How come you know me?
     Is surely a mystery.
You're the Son of God, and King complete!”

A day trip to Philip Island

19.01.2025
An amazing day trip to Phillip Island.
Glad it turned out to be a beautiful day.
The weather was fine, so as the blue sky.
The low tides and the wind,
Together they made gentle waves.
Perfect for swimming and strolling on the sand.
Truly, we were blessed with beautiful place on the Australia land.
Do not forget to embrace the wonderful nature, my dear friends.

Baptism of Denial

Destroy the war shop,
nationalist- imperialism gist!

Cultivate the flower garden
Peace and love surely comes

Be a lion not to show the cruel power
but to be a true knowledge of love, peace learner

Scriptures!
Come out from the all sneaker whispering

No power can bring redemption
But the self inside- the virgin knowledge!

"had To End In Fifty"

Can't be nineteen ninety-nine
or fourteen forty-five
had to end in fifty
to keep the quarter alive!

Oh, that lowly penny
a nuisance to be sure
lately out of favor
and its easy to see why
has to end in fifty
to make a simple buy.

Twenty-nine eighty seven
too much to figure out ...
has to end in fifty
of that there is no doubt.
