if you are sick
go not to a doctor
approach a politician
he will preach patriotism
that you die in peace
here in Africa
If children ask the question why?
Why do warriors fight and die?
We answer that we are sure
Sure that patriotism beckons us to war
Wealth is
Divided
Amongst the few,
Who were already born
With it.
So they
Do not care
About sharing
Any resources with
Others.
Its foundation built on sacrifice
maintained by the strength of belief
wounded by separatism
healed by patriotism
destroyed by disunion
from tribes
we have come,
to tribes we return.

I don't know if from where do people draw their bitterness against other people. But bigots nowadays don't know the difference between patriotism and puppetry...
hope
courage
character
optimism
patriotism
usa at one time
striving for the greater good
most positive character traits
news misses point, featuring others
Spirited patriotism among the masses
Corrupt free nation, all we pray
Genre of favour, blessing and love
Jewel of world's hope and Drive
Our lives larger than Life itself
The conservatives
Like to Fly the Flag
Wrapping themselves
In the flag
As they loudly proclaim
That they are the only patriots
As they defile the flag
With their hatred
On a wave of crimson, he surfs with glee
In flag shorts waving, proud and free
With a grin that shines, he smiles and soars
A surreal sight, America’s roar

I believe this poem qualifies as an "American Cinquain"
flag-bright
winds lifting hope
across a waiting land,
calling every heart to stand strong
as one
Kindness blends with kindness
Anger sires anger
Mindfulness lingers with reason
Affection grows in caring and charity
Laziness retards inspiration
Abstinence dissolves patriotism...
What is the difference between
Patriotism and Propaganda?
I say it is only
Whether or not you like the country
Or idea or person or values-
What do you think?
Form:
Patriotism and Holidays seem to go hand-in-hand
Fire up the BBQ; strike up the brass band
Picnics down by the lakeside; it's all mighty grand
Though I'd rather be known for my love of this land
I can't say the Pledge of Allegiance
God's name is in it
Can't stand for the Anthem
It depicts the flag
So, here I am
down on one knee
I stick my leg out ~
Are you ready to gag
Make America Great Again.
How could this be offensive?
If you express your love for their country,
People start to get defensive.
But if people let their patriotism run free,
We will continue to be free men.
Bringing Out Opposite Horn Haiku
From where I now sit
Actions bring out opposite
And will never quit.
The opposite is bringing out our patriotism.

In my lifetime, Russia went from 'godless communism'
to 'the defender of traditional values and patriotism'
While America turned from a proud free nation under God
into a debauched libertine, entirely unshod
In my opinion,
Patriotism
is one of our most gravest sins,
promoting nothing but separatism.
causing conflict and tension among many nations,
as opposed to practicing problem solving,
towards a peaceful global unification.
Snake oil here!
Blah, blah, blah.
Motivational speeches
Bread and circuses.
Appeal to our fears,
Patriotism, spirituality,
Sick kids..
Wait for it,
Wait.
Here it comes.
The hard sell.
Rolling eyes....
A Texas teacher defends U.S. law
Igniting social media's buzz-saw
Some claims she's racist and mean
Others toward patriotism lean
One thing for sure
I can state
You open your mouth
~ You tempt fate
Sun rising
Over the rampant seas
Clouds opening to reveal
The armies mustering
Preparing for death and decimation
They march steadily forward
Into the maws of
Misguided patriotism
As those they love
Wonder what
And why
If patriotism really is in brain and mind
All superstitions, crimes instantly go out
Let's grow there the great patriotic zeal
And we do never ourselves lively kill
Real patriotism makes us really great
Fake one makes narrow and hypocrite.
anchored to the ground
like strong, unmovable faith...
his patriotism
