Notes About The Poem

Ms. Georgia Clark, an English teacher in Ft. Worth, Texas, tweeted President Donald Trump today:  "Mr President, Ft. Worth Independent School District is loaded with illegal students from Mexico. Carter-Riverside High School has been taken over by them."

Today's Debate On Illegals

A Texas teacher defends U.S. law
   Igniting social media's buzz-saw
Some claims she's racist and mean
   Others toward patriotism lean

   One thing for sure
      I can state
   You open your mouth
      ~ You tempt fate

One thing for sure is true, you open your mouth, guns might be due! A true and noble write Gershon maybe we should all practise being ostriches! Hugs, Jennifer.

Gershon, indeed true. Also~ you open your pen and can become pen-hecked or for the most part, avoided.-))

Well, if I couldn't take the heat, I'd stay out of the kitchen. LOL. 'Controversial' topics are never too popular, are they? And after all, here's a teacher (fired already, by the way) who merely objected to the free educational ride which illegals get in the USA. She's been fired. What has happened to all of those who have broken and who openly flout the law? --- Nothing, of course. :)

And a brave comment, indeed, Caren. Not many will dare to take up this one. I say: No guts; no glory. :) gw

Not yet... Am expecting the worst on this the anniversary of Tiennamen Square... Oh, yeah. It's not the Chinese, it's the Trumpese. LOL. (He's nowhere near, nowhere near as bad as any dictator. I just like to tease him). :) gw
