The Chef

The pastry chef made some cuisine
Then he had to use the latrine
He played in his pants
He wanted a chance
Then fell into the mixing machine

Poetry

Poetry that rhymes with Pastry.
Both that gives me the thrill of ecstasy,
and leads me somehow to talking too much profanity.
Oh how I long for clarity,
for I have been too close to insanity
almost losing my humanity...

Tasty, oh so
fine, this dough, thin
phyllo pastry.

No ifs or buts,
the walnuts, chopped,
are what’s inside.

For your money,
pure honey, not
runny, is best.

And Turkish? Shriek!
Yes, unique, but
it’s Greek to me.

Premium Member Sweet Lime

These little swiss cake
Are simply sublime.
I like them glazed.
And eat some at night.
They are my faves.
A pastry delight.

So, I weighed one eighty.
And lately passed two oh-five.
Though I'm mostly bloated.
By hydrogenous sweet lime.

Premium Member Mincemeat

Mincemeat British sweet pie.
   Memories of Christmas,
      Mix dried fruits and spices,
         Mingle enough brandy
            Manage pastry in pie,
Mince put in pie and baked
                   Much aroma dessert.

How Poetry Makes Me Feel

When I write poetry
I am not only a writer
but I am also
a painter
a sculptor
a potter
a psalmist
a teacher
a storyteller
a pastry chef
a barista
a tailor
a carpenter
an engineer
and an architect
of descriptive words
and figurative language

Rhyme Is Necessary

Once upon a time,
There was a lady,
Having every candy,
Some sour but tasty,
Some sweet but nasty,
Everytime I feel thirsty,
I went for a pastry,
That's how every poetry,
Will look like a messy pantry,
Having rhyme but not fluency.
