the reward for participation is ....participation
aka: involvement, engagement, contribution, sharing, engaging, joining in
I overheard a conversation
with very loud participation,
it seemed there was a need
to get the words out with speed...
diarrhea not constipation.
Passion and hunger
Spirit flowing through our veins
Breeds many winners
The ultimate play,
Sportsmanship and the joys of
Participation
Anticipation is like hitting a single
Expectation is like hitting a double
Participation is like hitting a triple
Revelation is like hitting a homerun
Virtual school is no school at all.
Pretty much despised by one and all.
They don’t do this work,
Participation shirk.
Hope this is over by the end of fall.
If you can't tell the truth,
then what is the use
of us having a conversation?
just talk to yourself
and believe what you will
and double your participation.
Sitting in the cheap seats
God listens and never interrupts
In audience participation god sucks
As the curtain falls
beyond the stage
rows of empty stalls
For none a last encore
I look to the future with great anticipation
Relish the thought it will include my participation
Still here for a while
Will visit your domicile
When I need a boost and a happy dissertation
If iniquity is in your head
Far away it should be instead
Of all the Joseph's looking for a manger
You are the one in great danger
As the guilt of sin plays on your mind
Participation will safe human kind.
Student A brings in simplification.
Student B goes to Perth for a much needed vacation.
Student C votes for classroom unification.
Teacher has lost it, and wants participation.
I give up! Yells the X’s of multiplication.
Anticipation of Precipitation
Could be with contemplation and anticipation
We are becoming a portion of the participation
Of weather with rain,
Which was once in Spain;
Became pat of our planned precipitation.

Oh we ostriches, my fellow man.
They led us here and pointed saying this is sand.
Lest by chance a fool we hap to be.
The truth is plain for all to see.
Time to struggle and throw a fit.
Yuck phooey and out we spit.
Thats not sand its ________.

Happy faerie king will arrive
On the back of a purple butterfly
Possibly at four or at five
Said the herald’s lively cry
We waited in anticipation
And yes, he arrived on time
Ready to jump in to full participation
Quoting poems that have a clever rhyme
Empty! No, protest nothing
silent! Yes, gives confusion in making
decision, reaction, collision and dying
empty presence fights something
sometimes to nature, communication in judging
documents with election, papers with inclusion,
life is participation and living is doing.
Oh, this opera of hatred
composed by men
who do not know the pain
of our forced participation!
The cresendos of our cries
and explosions of our lives
bring thunderous applause
and the victors stand up -
with smiling high-fives they
congratulate each other
on a superb performance.
puppy dog mushroom eyes
sniffing green grasses
royalty prancing in my purple ears
slide down my face, I invite you
relish your participation
leave a few cracks
streaks for others to follow
be playful and whimsical
invite your friends
light blue butterflies have discovered me

The universe is a harmony
In which we all have a part.
You don’t need to know
What your part is.
You just need to believe in it:
Knowing that you belong.
Knowing the universe loves you
And wants your participation in its song.
Believe it, and you’ll be happy,
Believe it, and you’ll be free.
Believe me.
It is with much sadness that after 10 fun
and enjoyable years I will be curtailing my participation
on Poetry Soup! It has become a way of life with me
but I find at 87 years of age my creativity is suffering
I will still be popping in now and then!
So I must say good-bye for now
Cheers Jack
Hope has to be more than just an expectation;
Hope has to be more than just aspiration.
Bringing hope to the world requires imagination;
it requires participation, preparation, inspiration and, yes, perspiration.
It requires adaptation, collaboration, determination,
motivation and obligation.
Hope is an action.

don't talk,
you'll spoil it—
this version of me
I've been trying
to see as you—
don't say anything,
let's enjoy
