Roaming down the highway
Solely finding his way
Treading painful memories
Using them for another day
Is he really alone?
Misty Morning Fog
dawn's bitter echo
weeping willow’s silent wail ...
misting eyes beseech
painful memories
I should have begged her to stay ...
mourning most mornings
Darkness stimulates
Formulating thoughts
that go into a poem
revealing fears,anger
and painful memories like
plunging darkness
into your mind
till the shadows
completely takes
over your spirit
I have become your canvas
Where you paint your most painful memories
in purple paint.
I asked you
are there no other colors in your rainbow?
And you just laughed
and dipped your brush into another bottle.
My heart is full of love
Letting go of all those dark
And painful memories to
Be wash away in a tub
To start over is a beautiful thing
Letting the negative be
replace with positive, now life
has the sparkle of a new diamond ring
Is it better to forget
then to remember and regret?
Should sleeping dogs lie
or suddenly be awoke?
People can't forget the painful memories:
the pain of birth or
the sudden end of marriage
a love once so deep
broken into pieces
Peeping
through the blinds
into the cold
winter morn,
smut hue foliage
hung like strange fruits
from an enigmatic shrub—
igniting a brain freeze
flask back of ourstory—
sometimes, symbolic images
bring memories of history
that can be cold and painful.
I don't want to remember the good in my past
'Cause when I do all I remember is the bad
Then tears of sad comes down my cheeks
Painful memories
Hunt me
Taunt me
So I run
Trying to focus on the
Present and future
Pain found me there to...

Who are you
Like the days you change
Maybe you are the product of my destruction
My lies, tied to broken promises
Merged together with our most painful memories
Ashes as the sand and lava as the waves
You as my breathe
I'm poisoned by the thought
That I did this to you
oh anime surely you do brighten up my life
With your gorgeous colors rarely of depressing hues.
Many turn to you as a refuge from their problems and painful memories
and you do give them comfort in an imaginary world.
Easier it is to imagine a perfect life than to create one in reality.
Reflection full of scars
Bitter, empty
Ghost filled cracks
Painful memories
Vacant heart
Barren soul
Gasping for air
Relentless toll
Nothingness burns
Never goes away
My heart is full
I quietly pray

My Heart Is Full Poetry Contest
Sponsored by Cindi Rockwell
So much calamity is going on out there in the world
Our painful memories of eras past have now unfurled
The echoes of what once was all seem so unparalleled
Tribes from all over the depths are hearing the alarm bells
Disclaimer: I was playing video games when I wrote this; this isn't about real life.
Cold inside and out
The weather
My heart
Gloomy clouds
Dropping snow
Painful memories
Consume my mind
Fighting,yelling, break-downs
Not able to move
I'm numb
From the freezing tempature
And my shattered ice heart
Freezing slowly
Wishing I had you to warm me
Cold inside and out
The weather
My heart
I am shivering with painful memories.
I long for your warmth.
Supersize me with your gentle caress.
My pain and tears are in agony.
I long for your understanding.
Supersize me with your empathetic words.
I am sinking into a cobweb of despair.
I long for your loving embrace.
Supersize me with your heart.
Form:
For all the painful memories, thank you
For all the hurtful words, thank you
For all the horrid sights, thank you
For I have learned peace, thank you
For I have learned kindness, thank you
For I have learned beauty, thank you
and
good
bye

A willing trek through the thick blackness
a willing regress into depression
all for the sake of keeping sane
the only thing known by the brain for so long
a forced seclusion
with a sorrowful inclusion of painful memories
sitting there all alone
in the darkness once called home
rotting through flesh
decaying bones
soul seeking
This deep love
You are now gone
So im here to reflect our most
painful memories
We have had together
This deep love
Dont you see
I have scars
But im doing just fine
This deep love
Im doing just fine
I admit I miss you and
The moments we have had together
This deep love
You are now gone
And I smile a little more each day
She fleshed out lines
of scarlet red
Poured from her heart's
bruised vein she bled
Two cuts divided
their king sized bed.
Sheath exposed, nerves unveiled
Painful memories, her words revealed
Breaths taken in, never exhaled.
With guided pen, her eyes sealed tight
She left for him, a wrong made right
A last goodbye,
that scarlet night.
U.N.titled…
Mind flickering
Painful memories
Tears falling
Refusing to feel
Thoughts wandering
Down the broken path
Of shattered dreams
And fractured realities
Emotions trickling
Into the rivers of feelings
Unable to contain
The waters break free
Sadness washes over me
Grief engulfs me
Words spilling forth
Breaking my resolve
Her human condition, still stuck in addiction, being spoon-fed the traumas that led to the murder of her best friend,
wounds that left scars, leaving more than just their mark.
An emptiness that grows, a deep yearning in her heart...
I'm bringing this all to my Father in Heaven to stop this tearing in my heart. Please feel my words, hear my hurt.
In Jesus' name, Amen.
A blankness in a stare
That caught coldness to bare
A memorizing thought
That drifted my mind away
An eye to untold love
That slowly will appear
A soft soul who is rightfully so
That moment, comes
A first kiss
That holds true
A heart that sheds the scars
The tears are far, but painful memories
A call early in the morning
That made it that much more
A beautiful morning
"You were my bittersweet fairytale
With a dark ending.
You were my tragedy,
My addiction,
My ultimate betrayal.
But,
At the same time,
You were also my only Ray of sunshine.
You brought existence to my
horrible so called life.
You made me feel so alive!!!
You consumed every existing part
Of my soul;
And then you left me,
Leaving me with the crippled remains,
And the painful memories of are yesterday."
“Undressed Words”
Another story yet told…
Painful memories I couldn’t hold…
They take a backseat in my mind…
Missing words I still can’t find…
You had a pocket full of goodbyes…
Each one caught with a sigh…
We stood long in the rain…
Where tears blend in just the same…
Cracks in a heart that the eyes can’t see…
Faded scars that still may bleed…
Drips on my pages too express…
Into poetry that stays undressed…
A COIN IN THE FOUNTAIN
I saw it lay there, in the fountain
Among all the hopes and dreams
Humbled in such rich company
As a mere miserable copper coin
Not so much as that widow’s mite
But worn smooth with age and use
And despite a bright afternoon sun
No gleaming surfaces like the rest
Yet with a shine enough to reflect
A modest wish when it was tossed
That peaceful lives can be resumed
And all painful memories dispersed
Why did I just think that
led down a stormy path
should know myself much better
forethought indeed must catch
stupid things that bring regret
.....and painful memories
I know now to disallow
myself from misery.....
Why did I just think that?
I catch myself before...
regret becomes a stupid act
wrong thought I now ignore.....
Master of my own thoughts
my thoughts don't master me
enslave the crave of inner rave
and walk more peacefully.....
