Misty Morning Fog

Misty Morning Fog

dawn's bitter echo
weeping willow’s silent wail ...
misting eyes beseech

painful memories
I should have begged her to stay ...
mourning most mornings

Congratulations on your winning Haiku, Mark. It's very well expressed. Others should claim its value.

I appreciate your kind words of encouragement, Lin. Congratulations on the enchantment and wonder displayed in your winning haiku "diamonds strung on shrubs."
