Jaws of a shark, a ferocious bite,
Always protecting with all their might.
My teddy bear holds me through the night,
In my garden, orchids and daffodils fill with light.

CHOCOLATE melts in my hands,
so I eat an OLIVE instead.
While smelling the pungent scent of LAVENDER
ORCHIDS soak up the sun.
Reflected off an ULTRAMARINE sea,
the evening is ROYAL PUPRPLE.
Roses and violets make an interesting valentine bouquet
Reds and blues have long been associated with budding romance
Violets resemble orchids and make sweet-tasting jelly!

No flowers by request.....
I'm allergic to fragrance!!!!
FICTION
I prefer white orchids.
I'll pay for them :)
In a game of matching mates
Humble life decorate lonely tree
Wheel reach deep dark hole
Flurry of bliss crisped leaves
Orchids deplete its tears
Fallen cloud stood frozen
Till sound of opening knops
alone....
in a vast meadow,
silently counting ruby explosions
of
rare, lion's tooth orchids,
hidden
under tiny royal cloaks
of
elliptical emerald leaf canopies,
so
beautiful....
I'm
briefly
blinded
A brawl broke out at the local plant sale
The normally meek started to flail
Their begonias and orchids around
Geraniums were ripped right out of the ground
Look at them wrong and they'll fight you without fail.
withered weeds
in a barren field
where once were orchids
with a hefty yield.
no longer birds
in leafy trees.
no longer stars
for eyes to see;
nothing but the sight of dread
everything-infinitely dead.
calling butterflies to the tropics
orchids, hibiscus, bromeliad, clivia,
lovely red hot cattails
raring to show off their flamboyancy
brilliant colors
fragrance usually only found in the tropics
welcome monarchs!

your bright colors
make up for the fact that
your beautiful blooms have no scent,
yet with heaven you share.

Poem of the Day September 11, 2018
the orchids dazzle
beauty stealing air and sun
some unknown painter
puffy springborn clouds
float across eternity
so high birds can't fly
wildflowers in backyard
all grow free and beautiful
'till the mower comes
joy in the garden
among peach, reds, plums and green
peace and beauty rose
cherry blossom scents
sweethearts in the blue lilies
cat frisks with daisies
in reddish sunset
orchids of many colors
recall the sixties
After buttercups came daisies,
exquisite floating garnet hibiscus,
iris, jasmine, kooky little marigolds,
nasturshums, orchids, petunias, roses,
sunflowers,trailing varicolored wisteria,
xerophites, and yellow zinnias.
