A crusty old spinster sat stitching
while scratching the parts that were itching
oohing and ahhing
picking and pawing
at least for the moment stopped bitching.

Premium Member Lilies Were Aghast At New Hybrid
Lilies were aghast at the new hybrid.
She was freckled with orange spots.
How dare she! They whispered.
Some tittered.
Until the garden club ladies appeared
Oohing and praising “spotted medallion orange”.
Now all the lilies wanted to befriend her....

Premium Member What Are Age Spots
What are age spots? The children ask me.
I show them mine.
They are amazed, oohing and ahhing.
We used to call them freckles, I tell them. But now they are age spots.
They are six and seven.
I wonder if they will remember this when they turn my age.
I am spotted like a giraffe I say.
They giggle.
Perhaps they will remember this....

Premium Member Mooing Oohing Barnyard Zooming
Mooing oohing barnyard zooming
Loosy goosy is gently grooming.
True blue moon is choosing looming.
Sue Boo’s moose is rooster booming.

Premium Member Mom's Apple Pie
When it comes to the aroma of mom’s apple pie
Even the windchime outside tingles with glee
My lips quiver as I take my first bite
Fondling my fork in anticipation

Exuding its tantalizing fruity bouquet
Oohing and aahing every guest raves
It’s unanimous the flavor’s exquisite
Bravissimo kisses for our Queen Hostess

Premium Member Baby John
Baby John woke up in a warm new place
His heart leapt for joy
Where was this?
His subconscious recognized the colors
They were more vibrant than those of the earth world
There was more than one mother here
They were oohing and cooing at him
He felt loved, cherished; he knew he was home
Welcome back the angel mamas said.
Loving him as much as they had when they had sent him to earth
You can return to different parents after you rest, they assured him.
He was beloved, he was back!....
