What Are Age Spots

What are age spots? The children ask me. I show them mine. They are amazed, oohing and ahhing. We used to call them freckles, I tell them. But now they are age spots. They are six and seven. I wonder if they will remember this when they turn my age. I am spotted like a giraffe I say. They giggle. Perhaps they will remember this.

I think they will. Yes, they will. They will always respect you and what you tell them they will remember for the rest of their lives. I can hear them saying years from now, "There was this lady when I was in kindergarten who...."
