Premium Member One Can
One can only do
what one has done
(the need for practice)

One can only be
where one has traveled
to (a need for direction)

One can only love
if one has been loved
(a plea to parents)...

The Graffitti Wall
Here, they create
Art, not hate
Of the street
Without defeat

Art, self-taught
Self expressions
Mood reflections
Having fun
One day, done...

Eden Revisited
counting the garden
stop, there is but one and done
including the Earth

Authors Note: The author confesses; he was never good at math and never made it past the number one in his ability to count....

Not Rest Before Your Best
When things begin to get hot,
You reveal what you have got.
Problems don't by themselves rot
Like blood would itself clot.
Travails linger, not fade,
Until with them punches trade
It wouldn't be wise to rest,
Until one has done ones best.
Say whether its true or not
You're no baby still in cot...

Old Truck
The seat are worn
Sit on the springs
Heater doesn’t work
In winter freeze
Floor all rusted
     See the ground
Door held closed
     With a piece of wire
Windows don’t roll
     Rear one is done
All it really needs
     Is a new engine
Drop in a block
     It’ll fix every thing
Be good as new
     That’s all that it needs...

To the Last Dish
. [for public domain]

To The Last Dish!

I'm devoting my remaining years coming
to washing my pile of dishes, (so numbing!)
for they're stacked to the ceiling, floor to top,
I'll wash to the finish, I won't ever stop.

Not for a break, not for a meal, not ever,
until the last one is done, Yes! Forever!
and there on my tombstone I want this much said,
"He died washing dishes. It killed him. He's dead."...

Premium Member Surfing the Web
I, the technologically challenged one,
am surfing the web even as we speak.
I thought computers would be one and done,
but now I find that we must all speak Greek
and learn the ins and out within a week.

This is nothing new; it's gone on for years.
I learned the basic Word and Excel stuff
once upon a time, but none of it clears
a temp agency, it's just not enough.
So in the end I'm playing blind man's bluff....

Premium Member A Life Saving Procedure
The food was lodged in her throat, she was begining to turn blue,
but a local hillbilly with his daddy knew exactly what to do.
He lifted her dress and pulled down her drawers,
and proceeded to lick her entire hind quarters.
Shocked, the woman immediatly coughed the food out,
and thanked him for saving her life, reluctantly no doubt.
"Son," daddy said, "I couldn't be proud of you more.
Ya know, I heard about that hind lick procedure,
but never seen no one ever done it before."...
