I have gorged myself since I was young, occupying the uppermost rung of the swallowing clique, and to stay thin and sleek I exert my key muscle — the tongue.

Posessions
As long as a person posesses the ability to breathe, think, and believe, there is not one thing he or she cannot try to be. No matter the time, date, or place, unless they are just occupying father-time's time and.......... Mother nature's space!!!!!

Losing My Zen In the Grocery Store
He took up a lot of space
for a skinny guy.
Arms shooting out from his pits,
grabbing this and that.
Neck jutting left and right
and all the time
occupying the middle of the aisle.
Being older and fatter,
I paused my shopping cart,
waited
pretended I didn't want
to shove his ass into
the canned peas....

My Days and Nights With You
I cannot imagine a day without you
For then the sun would just never rise
The words you so say, they brighten my day
By bringing sparkle, to my once dark eyes

Nor can I imagine my dreams to e’er fade
For then my nights would then be incomplete
As always in my mind, you are there for me to find
By occupying a mind that once was replete...

My View Of The Political Landscape Tom 7/6/2019 Intolerant political parties, Are like Bulldogs in a hay barn; They don’t consume the hay, But won’t allow the other to eat it either. They’re tenacious in spirit, Busy spinning some favorable yarn, And the party occupying the White House, Never seems to get a breather.

I Do and I Did
i had
a wife
twice if

only the
second of
each minute

i sleep
single in
a double

bed but
instead of
cozy warmth

i have
a mess
of paper

and
pens
and

bottles
of water
and boxes

of crackers
and cereal it
almost seems

surreal
but really
the objects

occupying
the other
side of

my bed
are me
without

Our God Is Not Limited
Our God is not limited
By time, space or means
And when we know our God
Then, we shall do great exploits!
For God is bigger than any problem
Bigger than any disease
Bigger than any crisis
Bigger than any network
Bigger than any giant
Occupying our promised land
God has intercessors positioned
All around the globe
For our help comes from the Lord
The maker of heaven and earth!...

Geese and Airplanes Fight For Right of Passage
Two Canadian geese flew the skies
in root to wherever they desire
A plane occupying their space
Crashed head on in disgrace

The geese flew into their plane
Causing much economic pain
The final decision was made
To turn around the plane
And board another safely

So as geese grow in population
Taking flight to airways
Airplanes will reap devastation
And geese will die in vain...

Every Moment and Thought
I tried to fight this feeling
that burns inside of my soul
occupying every moment and thought
trying to take control
overwhelming me at times
constant thoughts inside my mind
coursing, weaving its design

if I falter, let it take over
if I succumb to every feeling
will it take me down the path
that once needed ceaseless weeding
or will it make me glad I followed
light my life with endless glow
to my heart will your love flow?...

The Jesus I grew up with was all about love.
Was all about being human.
Was all about contributing what he had.
Was all about encouraging others to contribute what they had
and everyone was so into figuring out how to contribute
they didn't worry about getting stiffed.
And everyone got what they needed
All were fulfilled.

In my mind
Jesus is occupying Wall Street
and hundreds of thousands of places
where humans dwell miserably
but not without hope....

The Candle of My Life
Sticky handprints on my door
Muddy truck tracks across my floor
Laundry piling up galore
Imperfect photos for decor
These are the things a mom adores

Little feet headed towards my bed
The darnedest things my kids have said
Neatly cut corners on sandwich bread
These are the thoughts occupying my head

Watching as my babies grow
Learning things, they didn't know
Tossing a ball to and fro
Wishing time would go so slow
The candle of my life, I dare not blow...

Town of Hollows
She sees beings resembling her,
in the form of flesh, bones, and blood,
as they criss-cross along the streets,
their talks and laughter echoing inside them,
for they don't have feelings occupying
their hearts.
She's afraid of touching their hearts,
for they might break or shatter,
because they are not familiar to the energetic
impact of emotions.
"Handle With Care" is written on their faces,
every time a song or story reminds them
how hollow they are in the inside........

Yes, I Love You
Your the only one who has grabbed my attention
Everytime I see your smile my heart weakens
Something about you makes me wanna melt

I cannot describe how changed I am because of you

Laughter and joy fills my head when your around
Obvious is it that I depend on your sweet voice
Victom of love, a prisoner of passion
Everyday feels like the same old love game

Young love, how can it be that you have found me?
Occupying all my time with this
Ultimate attraction between he and I...

Spoken Poetry
Spoken Poetry

I woman was reading some of my poems
They sounded like mine, but not sure
I thought they were too good, I have never
Regarded me on the top shelf of poetry
But occupying a crack between poetry and prose.
The voice made for poetry came from
Poetry hunter, I tried to thank her but she
Didn’t wanted comment.
Perhaps I was wrong
A wish to write as good
As the poems she read was wishful thinking.
From my part.
Nevertheless, I enjoyed her clear, impeccable voice....

Distortion of Good
The economy keeps plummeting
and everyone wants to make
a statement, some people get
attention by pounding the
pavement, others rebel,
creating different versions
of hell, distorting the good
that could serve all Americans
well,

Occupying Wall Street has gotten
out of control, what seemed like
positive revolting, has given way
to violent souls,

Change will only come when
disagreements are handled
intelligently, turmoil and upsets
only allows the devil to roam
rampantly....
