Feline Fine

A Mormon with two lovely wives
Discovered they both had sharp knives
Somewhat chatty
Both were catty
But he, alas, did not have nine lives!

Why Are We Here Again

Space, time, existence

The turkeys fear the day they'll be our din-din

with nine lives a kitten dies but once

kidnapped by aliens a stumblin'

The pussycat boasted nine lives, and nearly as many ex-wives. As they peeled away, “We’ve got him!” they’d say, but Charon still sails the Maldives.

Tom thought in his nine lives he saw it all, He languorously preyed on weak and small, Times change, tweet they, Tom’s now the prey - His predator triumphantly stands tall.

================

When Duke arrives,
don't be around...

No cat survives,
when Duke arrives.

Need all nine lives?
Don't make a sound!

When Duke arrives -
don't be around.

The Cat used to brag to all the guys Because he won first place for most lives. Then the frog said with glee, "Not more have you than me, I croak every night…I win the prize!"

Nine lives
Flowing nine ways
With every life
Flowing one way

Nine lives
Running nine miles
While giving a life
To every mile

Nine lives
Fetching many tunes
from many flows
With each flow
Running through
Every mile
With a song.

Nine Cats

Nine cats live nine lives with nine kittens
Nineteen mittens for thirty-six paws
Not enough mittens for tiny claws
Nine kittens and nine cats eighteen bowls
Of Nottingham pie to keep them fat
Near a fire nine cozy cats lie
Nonetheless the storm will pass them by
Nine cozy cats and nine warm kittens
Snuggle together far from the storm

Life Goes On

First it was seizures
And then I was blind
Sight was returned
And then I was fine.

Then came the cancer
But I was not afraid
Just a little annoying
Then life was repaid.

A life threatening event
The doctors said no way
In my determined mind
I said I’m here to stay.

A cat has nine lives
I think humans do too
I’ve used three of mine
Four more I am due.

Nine Lives

Nine lives my rear
Just one too short
Never again we say
Then a kitten appears

So tiny and playful
Lively lovely soft
Easy to deny the end
Again over again

We know the pain to be
But bond without fail
Sorting through the photos
Recall not the sad dying

But the joy of a life
Gifts of mice and warm laps
Laughing at (not with)
Earnest battles with shadows

Premium Member keep goin'

don't ever come knocking
i closed that door
there's no turning back
i locked it shut

no denying you've gone too far
forgiveness might be possible
but forgetting absolutely not
it's written in the cards

you've had your chance
wasted your nine lives so
pick up your baggage and move on
i'm past caring but i'm wishing you well

Silly Soliloquy

In the first place
without a second thought
down at the pub on third street
your prejudice shines forth.
When ever you partake of that fifth
one doesn’t need a sixth sense
to know you’re not in seventh heaven.
If you were a cat you’d be on number eight
of the nine lives you had already wasted.
Bob, if I’ve told you once, I’ve told you ten,
Try to control this impetuous pen!

Serenity

Such peace and blooming with the wind blowing free leaves me with a hope as I sit
on holy grounds.
Quiet as a tree. I know that God is thinking of me. Secure and safe.
No leaps abound. Enjoying life watching birds flying around.
A cat with nine lives is like a human having a second chance at life, you see.
Kissing beautiful clouds would be a joy to see. With moonlit walks. Now that's
serenity.

Premium Member Sambractia Scares Her Familiar Cat

Sambractia, a tidy blue soothsaying witch with a “hey hey hey”
startled October’s aged north wind as she went about her great day
A whole lot of debris and garbage blew against her in a weird way
which made her familiar cat laugh as he hid down deep in the hay
“Come out of that hole!” Yelled the witch, the cat turned dour and gray.
He knew he might be losing one of his nine lives that fateful Tuesday.

The Cube

Life is like a cube
You have 6 sides
Each side has nine lives

When it breaks
All that's left is the middle
What is in the middle of a life?
The center is your heart
A heart is someone's life
A heart can kill someone
A heart can save someone
A heart can break someone
A heart can fail someone
A heart is what you hold on to
When you have no one left

Your heart can save you
In ways that a person can’t

Nine little kittens, each with nine lives!
It's a surprise how each of them thrives.
Two nearly drowned in the pool next door:
one caught between an old attic floor.
Two were trapped in a box overnight;
two got abscesses in a catfight.
Another fell down off a high roof;
the last just missed a horse's huge hoof.
More lives to go! This legend's foolproof!

Safe to say there are never too many cats,
Meowing to say hello greeting you at the door;
Stepping silently, jumping all around snuggling on the couch;
Nine lives I am told? The chances they take!
Climbing trees, in and out of situations with ease;
They do what they want and they fear nothing;
Dodging cars! Always a kiss away on the street;
Content to roam until they finally find a home
We fall for those eyes that hold 9 lives.

A House Full of Cats

a house full of cats?
we learn to step carefully
we don’t have nine lives
our kitties are so trusting
lay down right in front of us

“pet me and feed me!”
(this is a silent command)
“and keep litter boxes clean
don’t disturb us while we sleep
always be kind to us pets”

feline loyalty?
“at times we might say that – yes
but don’t count on it”

feline royalty?
“who owns who is the question?
you know the answer”
